LAKERS HIRE RICK CARLISLE AS HEAD COACH
A few forgettable seasons after the 2011 championship victory, Coach Rick Carlisle of the Dallas Mavericks resigned this off-season with team owner Mark Cuban wanting to go in a new direction with the imminent retirement of its star Dirk Nowitzki on the horizon.
Coach Carlisle may have played for the Celtics once upon a time, but he is a highly respected leader on the sidelines, responsible for the Mavericks peak moment and known for making his teams play tough, play defense, score, and most importantly, utilize their skills. While the trio-turned-quartet of D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle & Brandon Ingram appears to show promise, Laker Nation is trusting that Coach Carlisle will have them playing hard and fast on the court, bringing back some of that flash from the Showtime days.
