Warriors Win Again
Bench Helps Golden State Close Out Homestand with win

Associated Press
Nov. 13, 2017
OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Golden State Warriors showed off the depth of their talent Monday night against the Orlando Magic.

While Kevin Durant once again led the Warriors in scoring with 24 points, it was Nick Young's hot shooting off the bench that keyed the 2nd and 3rd quarter runs that made the difference in the 113-102 win over the Magic.

Young hit all five of three-point attempts on his way to 17 points in just 18 minutes. Shaun Livingston added 11 points and 5 assists as a substitute as well.

Klay Thompson credited the front office for keeping the talented, loaded roster intact.

"It's what's been able to propel us to three straight Finals," Thompson said. "Our depth's been incredible."

"They cause you to do some unique things with your defensive scheme," Orlando coach Frank Vogel said. "When they switch everything they force you into one-on-one basketball and we took the bait."

Nikola Vucevic led the Magic with 18 points and had a game-high 13 rebounds. Elfrid Payon had 15 points and five assists but also committed six turnovers.

Following Monday’s game, the Warriors will embark on a four-game road trip that will take them through Thanksgiving. The trip opens Thursday in Boston and continues through Philadelphia, Brooklyn and Oklahoma City before the team comes home to host the Bulls on Friday, November 24.

Re: Warriors, Come Out and Play (NBA 2k18 Golden State Warriors Franchise)

Road-Trip Starts with Warriors blow-out of Celtics
Curry and Durant lead the way with 24 points each

Associated Press
Nov. 16, 2017
BOSTON -- Kevin Durant deflected a Boston pass, tipped it ahead to Stephen Curry and ran to the basket to finish off an alley-oop.

The next time down, Curry stole the ball and pulled up for a 3-pointer.

"That was incredible to start the game off that way," forward Draymond Green said after the Warriors went on to a 29-20 first quarter and and ultimately a 116-94 victory over Boston on Thursday night. "That was amazing."

Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry each scored 24 points to lead the Warriors with Durant adding 11 rebounds and six assists.

"They're really good, and we all know that. But you just can't have droughts against them," Celtics coach Brad Stevens said. "They can make it a landslide quickly. Going six straight possessions without scoring, that just crushes you."

Kyrie Irving led the Celtics with a game-high 31 points and Jaylen Brown added 18 as Boston record fell to 8-8 on the season.

Now 14-1 on the season, Golden State will continue their road trip on Saturday when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers. This will be the second Warriors-Sixers matchup in the last week, as Golden State beat Philadelphia 118-108 last Saturday in Oakland.

Re: Warriors, Come Out and Play (NBA 2k18 Golden State Warriors Franchise)

Warriors complete season sweep of Sixers
Durant leads the way again with 36 points

Associated Press
Nov. 18, 2017
PHILADELPHIA -- One week ago to the day the Golden State Warriors defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 118-108 behind 39 points from Kevin Durant.

Durant nearly repeated the performance Saturday night scoring 36 points as the Warriors were once again victorious over the 76ers 121-106. The win gives Golden State a 2-0 sweep of the season series between the two teams.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson both shot 50% from three-point range scoring 25 and 23 points respectively.
Philadelphia managed to trade blows with the Warriors for the first quarter trailing by just one, but from then on it was all Golden State.

Joel Embiid had his second thirty point game against the defending champions finishing with 30 point and 11 rebounds.

"We have to play for 48 minutes," Embiid said.

Playing his first game since receiving a lucrative contract extension, Robert Covington had 20 points for Philly.

The Warriors’ road trip continues with a back-to-back that will take them to Brooklyn to face the Nets on Sunday.
