Charlotte - Although much of the talk surrounding the All-Star game was the fact Lebron picked Kawhi to be on his team. The Raptors shined through the events. On Saturday Kyle Lowry came in second in the three-point shootout after scoring 22.

On Sunday the North came to play as well, Kyle Lowry scored eleven and got seven assists, six of them came on alley-oops to Kawhi Leonard. Leonard was a man possessed this all-star game scoring thirty-seven in a team Lebron. win.

Those are the All-Star uniforms they wore last year. One's black, one's white with the team logo big on the front. It's simple, I do miss the old days on All Star uniforms. If only they let the Rookie Challenge game wear something besides the basic 2K generic crap.

Detroit - Monday night may be a drag for the common man but for the NBA fan it was one of exciting action in a prime-time matchup of NBA Playoff teams on ESPN.

Both teams held large leads at different moments, the Pistons were once up fifteen and the Raptors were up twenty at one point. For the Raptors the biggest story was obviously Kawhi, the man scored fifty points on 20/23 shooting. Don't forget Kyle Lowry, however, Lowry scored nineteen but more importantly picked up fifteen assists.

Off the bench, the old man Vine Carter had his best game of the season. Carter made the most of some extended playing time. Carter hitting over half his shots for a quality eighteen points. The biggest part of his scoring was it almost all came from the drives. Carter only hitting one three-pointer.

Blake Griffin and Reggie Jackson lead Detriot both scoring over thirty points. Their dominance in the paint was clear with them scoring 100 of their 135 inside the paint.

For the Raptors they with ten games left they have all but clinched the first seed and should be looking at a possible finals match up with the Warriors.

The veteran Toronto Raptors face off against one of the biggest surprises of the year the Atlanta Hawks.

The Hawks have been led by 23 points per game by rookie Trae Young and Jeremy Lin. The Hawks will be without Jeremy Lin for the first two games, however. Since losing Lin the Hawks have slipt from a fifth seed team to an eighth. But either way, this is one of the biggest stories of the season the Hawks were expected to be a bottom dweller but instead are already in the playoffs.

The Raptors are per usual course, a great regular season leads to an upcoming playoff full of questions. The Raptors need to win if they want to compete for the long-term, otherwise, Kawhi Leonard will be heading out the door and the Raptors will be tanking sooner rather than later.

Nice trades, good finish to the year. The playoffs will be mighty interesting -- the Wizards just seem destined to be beat by the Celtics every year in the postseason, while the Warriors take on the Pelicans once again. LeBron missed the playoffs -- a huge loss for the NBA as a whole -- and that makes the Warriors path that much easier to repeat even without Curry.
