Re: Atlanta Hawks 2k19 "Trusting The Process Again"

Young Wade to the Bulls! That's a great play by Chicago, will definitely give them a chance at something. Greek Freak's brother to the Bucks, another solid move (hopefully they can win with him). Love the Spurs choosing a draft and stash at 27th, at 23rd they look like they got a steal in Barkley.

Jazz made a questionable pick for the other Wade (Rob Wade, lol). Don't think there's a danger of him being better off than D-Wade's kid.

ok so my long reply to you didn't work because my internet so lets try this again

The Bulls made a trade up from 3 to 2 as they needed a G and the Chicago connection. They gave up a young PF prospect and a few 2nds and the Grizz still ended up getting the guy they needed the most.

It was just way to obvious for the Bucks not to take the lil bro. I was afraid they would have to trade up after they dropped from 4 to 6 in the lottery. He is more raw then the other players that went in the top 5. It all lined up with them having to add him to the team since this is the summer that big brother is a FA.

The spurs draft didn't end quite as good as they expected when they sold off their assets during the year. They are still in great shape long term and have a boatload of cap space and young talent.

The guy the Jazz took was the clear cut BPA on the board when looking at rankings. I forget what his potential is usually in this case if its to low I'll edit it to atleast make him have decent potential. But yea not looking like a good pick for them.

Quick Update
I'm back after being gone for a few days to the mountains. I am still at the FA stage so my plan is to get done with the offseason this weekend. I have lowered the asking $ for FA so that should make things quicker / easier on me. I will have one quick trade to post today.

Re: Atlanta Hawks 2k19 "Trusting The Process Again"

Trade Alert

The 76ers was going to have to sell off some assets this offseason as their payroll is already high and they have to pay Fultz this summer. They also have a bunch of young guys on the roster that deserve to get more playing time.

They trade starting PF Dario Saric to the Blazers and get back a lottery protected 1st round pick. Dario is a solid starting PF however he doesn't have a elite skill. This means Ben Simmons will move to the starting PF with T.J Mcconell, Zhaire Smith and Landry Shamet all fighting to join the starting lineup along side Fultz. This also creates a big trade exception the 76ers can use during the year if they have to. Robert Covington is another name that could be traded at some point.

The Blazers needed a PF and despite having cap room they wasn't going to sign anyone that's better then Dario. He is also locked up for a reasonable rate for 3 years. This means they can try and sign another body at G before signing C.J to a extension. If this happens the blazers with all their young players will be one of the most exciting teams in the league this year. This also allows 4th overall pick PF Girbaud to be brought along slowly. Since the pick is lottery protected it takes the pressure off them to win this year.

Re: Atlanta Hawks 2k19 "Trusting The Process Again"

Atlanta Signs Trey Lyles

Atlanta has signed Trey Lyles and this will likely be the biggest move the team makes this summer. Trey is a 25 year old stretch 4 who biggest skill is shooting the 3 and scoring inside. He isn't a defense player, but Atlanta has other big men for that job. He signed a 2 year deal for around 10 million per year with a team option for the 3rd year.

It does mean a lot of big men for Atlanta will need playing time. John Collins, Bol Bol and Zion will all still see heavy minutes. Omari Spellman is still on the roster and he is a similar player to Lyles with better defense. Sergi Martinez will also join the roster this year after playing a year overseas. We will have more on Sergi later, but he is last in the pecking order. Tacko Fall is a intriguing option as well since he has improved the last 2 years (73 ovr). Trey isn't expected to see a lot of play so he could go frustrated and eventually ask for a trade. If Atlanta needs to make a bigger trade then Trey would likely have to be involved to match salaries.

Re: Atlanta Hawks 2k19 "Trusting The Process Again"

5 Most Interesting Teams - Jazz

Cap Room -19.78 Million
Biggest Offseason Move Signing Hayward
Biggest Weakness PG depth
Best Trade Asset Favors
X factor Paul Eboua
Attainable Goal WCF
Key Loss Ingles (clippers)

The Jazz had a huge offseason they kissed and made up with Gordan Hayward and signed him to a 3 year deal. His scoring last year in Boston dropped to 14 a game and should be back up around 17 this year. We now get to see Hayward who still has at least 1 year in his prime mixed with the all star Mitchell.

Rubio isn't much of a scorer but has A grade defense and has averaged over 9 assist per game the last 3 years. Favors is the biggest trade piece they have he averaged 15 & 8 last year and is under contract for next year. They have a young PF Shiituu that could play more minutes and likely wouldn't be much of a drop-off.

Rudy Gobert is one of the best C in the game always up for defense player of the year awards and has averaged over 20 a game the last 2 years. He is still only 29 so he has a few more years in his prime remaining.

If favors is traded likely hinges on the play of backup SF Eboua a former lottery pick. On top of the grades you see above the main 3 offense skills are all solid at B. If his production can match his skills then Jazz could compete in the short term and grab a 1st round pick for the future. Him and Hayward both at 6'8 would be a good pair of switchable and versatile F's.

A few more guys you have are Allen is a 3 point specialist who has yet to see major minutes in his career. Thompson is a liability on offense, but can rebound and defend and somehow still just 30 years old. The health of Rubio is important if he goes down Napier couldn't handle being the starter.

Jazz Depth Chart - 21 / 22
STARTER2ND3RD4TH
PGRicky Rubio - 84 ovr - 30Shabaz Napier - 79 ovr - 30
SGDonovan Mitchell - 91 ovr - 25Grayson Allen 80 ovr - 26 Alec Burks - 79 ovr - 30
SFGordan Hayward - 90 ovr - 31Paul Eboua - 80 ovr - 2Deni Avdiva - 77 - 20
PFDerrick Favors - 82 ovr - 30Simi ****tu - 80 ovr - 21
CRudy Gobert - 89 ovr - 29Triston Thompson - 80 ovr - 30

quick note - In general the overalls are a little to high around the league. However just about all of the high 70's type guys have a major flaw in their game that still makes them a bench guy. I also only named the key players in the depth chart.

5 Most Interesting Teams - Heat

Cap Room -13.87 Million
Biggest Offseason Move Signing Beal
Biggest Weakness G depth
Best Trade Asset Whiteside
X factor Beal
Attainable Goal 2nd round
Key Loss None

They heat have been stuck in the middle for a few years which is the worst thing you could be in the NBA. They had a huge offseason as Pat Riley has done it again signing both Bradley Beal and Dennis Schroder. It was a huge for the team who greatly filled its biggest hole. Dennis won 6th man of the year award after scoring 16 points a game in OKC last year. Beal has been around 20 points a game the last 3 years and without Wall and Porter and now the clear cut #1 option those numbers could go up.

A lot of people aren't as good as their overall grades that's not the case with Josh Richardson who is a elite 3 & D guy. He is in the final year of his contract and if Miami decides to trade him they might be able to get two 1st round picks.

The league is desperate for big men and Miami have 4 quality ones on the roster so similar to Utah they could trade one of them for 1st round pick and still compete in the short term. Bam just got locked up this summer and averaged 14 & 10 last year. Whiteside is a elite rebounder averaging over 13 the last 3 seasons. Naz Reid is a former 1st round pick who could be the 1st big off the bench. The most intriguing player is 7'1 Moses Brown who was the former 15th pick. He could average double digits rebounds right now. His post defense is solid, but could still use some work. He can also score inside and grades out at B+. The issue is none of the 4 big men can shoot and Whiteside and Brown cant really play together.

They have a pair of big names at wing coming off the bench in Carmelo and Waiters, but neither of them can play defense.

Heat Depth Chart - 21 / 22
STARTER2ND3RD4TH
PGDennis Schroder - 86 ovr - 28 Dante Exum - 79 ovr - 26
SGBradley Beal - 90 ovr - 28 Dian Waiters - 81 ovr - 29
SFJosh Richardson - 81 ovr - 28Carmelo Anthony - 80 ovr - 37James Johnson - 79 ovr - 34
PFBam Adebayo - 84 ovr - 24Naz Reid - 79 ovr - 23

Re: Atlanta Hawks 2k19 "Trusting The Process Again"

5 Most Interesting Teams - Trailblazers

Cap Room +5.2 Million
Biggest Offseason Move Trading for Saric
Biggest Weakness Defense
Best Trade Asset Expiring contracts / Cap Space
X factor Mcdaniels
Attainable Goal Make the playoffs
Key Loss Future Cap Space

The Trailblazers might be the most fun team in the league. They traded Lillard last offseason for a haul of draft picks and young players. They have also been drafting in the top 10 for the last several years. They have 3 versatile young SF's, a exciting back court, and a pair of solid veteran big's and the 4th overall pick waiting in the wings at PF/C.

Simons didn't disappoint in his first year starting after the Lillard trade scoring 16 points, 6 assist and shooting 36 % from 3. CJ got a new 3 year deal and should once again be around the 20 point a game mark. Gary Trent is a solid reserve however he isn't a really a PG.

McDaniel's was the key piece coming over in the Lillard trade he was considerd the most offense talented player in the draft. The bad news he tore his achillies and only played 36 games. He is healthy to start the year and appears to be 100% again. He is a tall lanky 6'10 so they have to figure out if he can play some 4 and if that will help hide him on defense.

Bazley and Achiuwa are both high lottery picks who have yet to reach their potential. Precious has the makings of a future star and scored 12 points a game as rookie. They also have this years 4th overall pick Girbad who has a lot of potential, but isn't ready to produce on offense yet.

They traded their own lottery protected 1st for Dario Saric who is locked up for several more years. It could make for some interesting decisions at the deadline on if Portland is buyers or sellers. Dario started on two 76ers championship teams and provides veteran leadership and is a stretch 4. They could have afford to give up a 1st as they are loaded with young players and still have plenty of draft picks going forward. They were not likely to sign anyone with his skill level and age in FA. Nurkic is in the final year of his contract and they hope to resign him since he can play defense and rebound.

The biggest issue with this team is going to be defense they don't have even average defender in the 1 to 4 spots outside of Precious. They were not able to fill the backup PG spot so if they are buyers they will look at that at the deadline. They can always move CJ to PG and one of the young 3's to the 2 if Simons is out short term. They have 11 million of Powell's expiring contract + 5 million in cap space fi they want to go big.

Their youth and athletic ability could be enough to get them in the playoffs this year. They have to find some help on defense in the long-term as Mcdaniels might legitimately be the worst defender in the league.

Trailblazers Depth Chart - 21 / 22
STARTER2ND3RD4TH
PGAnfernee Simons - 81 ovr - 22
SGCJ Mccollum - 89 ovr - 30Gary Trent - 79 ovr - 22
SFJaden Mcdaniels - 83 ovr - 21Precious Achiuwa - 82 ovr - 22Darius Bazley - 80 ovr - 21
PFDario Saric - 81 ovr - 27Marcel Girbad - 77 ovr - 19
CJusuf Nurkic - 84 ovr - 27 Zach Collins - 78 ovr - 23
