Re: Atlanta Hawks 2k19 "Trusting The Process Again"

PG Class - Draft Profile

The Hawks only have 1 PG on the roster after the trade of Jeremy Lin so you have to assume 1 to 2 PG's will be brought in this summer. They are easily 15 minutes or so to be had if a rookie is drafted. Their isn't a elite PG in the class so everyone here is expected to go outside the top 10 which could line up with the suns pick. The issue is how soon do you draft someone with no hopes of starting ? Since these guys aren't elite prospects we will do shorter previews of them.

Lindell Wiigginton
He is a 6'2 188 pound PG who is ranked 11th overall and is 21 years old. His strength is shooting (A-) and some say he is the best in the entire class at it. His defense is average if he can improve that he could be a + starting PG in the league. The issue is with his age and still being raw his best role is likely a G off the bench.

Jaylen Hands
He is a really good athlete with high potential that's ranked 13th overall. The 20 year old is 6'3 and 181 and is a better defender then most with C+ grade. The issue is he isn't much of a offense or shooting threat.

Darius Garland
He is only 19 and has average size at 6'2 175 with high potential. The major issue with him his 3 point shooting as is not a threat at all from deep. He can shoot from mid range just not from 3. He will be adequate defender and can make plays and is currently ranked 17th.

Ja Mornt
Many think he is the most NBA ready to play despite being ranked the lowest at 19th overall. His strengths are making plays (A-) and he is the best of the group in that and he is also a good athlete (B+). He has average size and offense skills.

Re: Atlanta Hawks 2k19 "Trusting The Process Again"

If averaging a triple double earned a MVP the first time, I think Russ gets it if he ends the season with a triple double. If not, I think it goes to Steph. I always see MVP as "take this guy off the time, how bad do they become?" and Steph's putting up a huge chunk of the work right now. Guys like Russ, LeBron, and Giannis will always be in the convo because they carry their teams, but looking at the numbers I'd do Steph for MVP.

I'd give the ROY to Ayton, but Doncic is close behind him.

I think Curry gets my vote as well he is averaging 31 a game on a team that won 67 games and even put up a good amount of rebounds and assists. I posted these stats with 1 day to go so Russ wont get to a triple double average. I would prob rank Giannis 2nd since his team did better then expected. Paul's 13.4 assist are also very impressive.

SG / SF Class - Draft Profile

Here is a look at some other SG / SF that will likely go outside the top 10.

Keldon Johnson
He is 6'6 and only 19 so has a lot of potential with A- athleticism. He can shoot mid range and score inside (B-) and is ranked 12th overall. His defense comes in with a grade of C and the major weakness is lack of a 3 point shoot.

Deandre Hunter
He has great size at 6'7 and 222 pounds and the 21 year old is ranked 10th overall. His defense is C+ so if he can improve that he will likely be starting caliber player. He can shoot some 3's and make plays so a lot to like about him.

Tom Walton
The lowest ranked guy on the list and is expected to be taken in the early 2nd round. He has great size as a 6'6 227 pound SG which leads you to think he might be better off at SF. He can shoot some 3's, but the main reason he makes so much sense for the Hawks is his defense which graded out at B+. Everyone knows the Hawks are looking for defense wings and he makes a ton of sense in the early 2nd round. He isn't going to score much outside of 3 pointers and wont ever be a starter.

Rui Hachimura
The highest rated player on the list coming in at 9th overall. He has great size as a 6'8 225 pound SF. He can score inside (B+) and is a really good athlete (B+). He can hold his own on defense so once that improves you have a starter in the NBA.
