Magic Get First Win of Season 112-106

ORLANDO, Fla. -- After their best first half of the season and carrying a 15 point lead into halftime it still like the Orlando Magic would let another chance to win slip away.

The Cleveland Cavaliers rallied in the second half and led by 3 with two minutes left in the game.

Evan Fournier hit his first and only three pointer of the game to tie the score, Aaron Gordon got a steal and break-away dunk and the Orlando Magic were finally in the win column.

"I finished well shooting the ball, but I missed so many open shots in the first half and third quarter, it's amazing," Fournier said.

"We had to steal the ball, execute, and really win a game you're not supposed to," Gordon said. "Most of the time you don't win those games."

D.J. Augustin led Orlando with 26 points, Fournier added 21, Gordon scored 16 points with 13 rebounds and Nikola Vucevic grabbed 18 rebounds.

George Hill led the Cavaliers with 20 points and Tristian Thompson had double-double of 12 points and 20 rebounds.

"We put ourselves in a great situation and we just did not execute down the stretch," Cleveland coach Larry Drew said. "When situations come up like that, you have to know what to do and execute. We didn't handle it and that is why we lost the game."

Orlando will try to string two wins together as they continue a three game home stand against the Detroit Pistons.

Drummond has 22 points and rebounds as Pistons pound Magic

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Detroit center Andre Drummond has expanded his offensive game dramatically.

Drummond had 22 points and 22 rebounds and the Pistons beat the Orlando Magic 103-96 on Wednesday night.

"Andre was the player of the game for me," Pistons coach Dwane Casey said. "The way he competed, just playing hard. Not one play was called for him, but he's not worried about touches. He just goes out and plays his butt off and once we all get in our mind what the important things are to win in this league, we're going to be OK."

Evan Fournier led the Magic with 25 points, Nikola Vucevic had 18 and 12 rebounds.

The Magic will close out this home stand Friday with a visit from the Washington Wizards.

Wall Leads Wizards to 136-127 Win

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Just maybe, the Washington Wizards are figuring things out.

John Wall had 24 points and 10 assists, Markieff Morris added 23 points and the Wizards beat the Orlando Magic 136-127 on Monday night.

Washington shot 63% from the field and 50% from three-point range.

The Magic hit on 52% of their three pointer but shot 46% overall.

Evan Fournier led the Magic with 21 points and Nikola Vucevic added 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 steals.

Orlando has another set of back-to-back games with trips to New York and then a rematch with the Wizards.
