Thanks man. It adds a little personality in my opinion. Sometimes I get hit with the Game Update prompt in the middle of the game and it makes it impossible to get a clip. And other times there’s nothing worth saving in a clip. 😏

Game 29: Clippers at Spurs

121 101

Spurs blow out Clippers at home

SAN ANTONIO– San Antonio jumped on the Clippers early, taking a 28-17 lead after the first quarter and not looking back en route to a 121-101 win. The Spurs' stifling defense held the Los Angeles to just 41% shooting for the game and 30% from three-point range. LaMarcus Aldridge and Derrick White lead the team with 20 points, with the starters sitting the entire 4th quarter. “I thought we did a good job of jumping on them early, staying aggressive and executing the offense,” White said after the game.

Up Next: The Spurs host the 11-18 Chicago Bulls, who beat the Spurs in overtime in the first meeting of the season.

Game 30: Bulls at Spurs

114 89

DeMar DeRozan leads Spurs past Bulls, 114-89

SAN ANTONIO– After last month's overtime loss in Chicago, DeMar DeRozan was ready for the Bulls. “That game really stung. We felt like there's no way we should have let that game go to OT, much less lose,” DeRozan said. The 10th-year guard lead the way, scoring 23 points and handing out 6 assists as San Antonio blew the game open with a 33-17 2nd quarter and never looked back. The large margin enabled head coach Gregg Popovich to rest his starters for the 4th quarter for the 2nd consecutive game. “After a string of overtime games 3 weeks ago, its nice to get our work done early and rest some of the guys the past couple of nights,” Popovich said.

Up Next: The Spurs wrap up their 6-game homestand versus the 17-14 Philadelphia 76ers.

Around the NBA - Injury Report

A quick update on some injuries for the month of December:

The Suns announced DeAndre Ayton will miss 6-8 weeks with a broken wrist. The #1 overall pick has been the best rookie in the league so far this season, averaging 19.6 points and 13.0 rebounds per game for the Suns.

Kemba Walker has a dislocated patella tendon in his right knee and will be out for 4-6 months, effectively ending his season. Walker will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.

The Cavaliers have announced that #8 overall draft pick Collin Sexton ruptured his right Achilles and will miss the remainder of the season. He had been averaging 21 points and 4 assists per game in a strong rookie campaign.

Thunder Center Steven Adams will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a broken finger. Nerlens Noel has played well for OKC off the bench and is expected to assume starter responsibilities.

Game 31: 76ers at Spurs

112 74

Spurs win 4th straight, blow out 76ers

SAN ANTONIO– San Antonio jumped out to an early lead against the 76ers, and never looked back en route to a 112-74 victory. The 38 point margin was the Spurs' biggest victory of the year and dropped the Sixers to 17-15. The win was the Spurs' 4th in a row, and they remain 1 game behind Golden State in the West at 22-9. Philly shot just 38% for the game and 4-25 (16%) from 3 point range. “I thought we did a good job being aggressive at the start, and never really let off the gas,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said after the game.

Up Next: The Spurs travel to Orlando to face the 14-15 Magic

Game 32: Spurs at Magic

114 105

Spurs falter down the stretch, lose to Magic 114-105

ORLANDO– The Orlando Magic exploded for 45 points in the 4th quarter and ran past the Spurs, 114-105. Evan Fournier and Nicola Vucevic combined for 30 points in the quarter alone as Orlando evened their record at 15-15. “Fournier got hot, and we couldn't do anything with him,” Spurs forward Rudy Gay said after the game. “It was an avalanche.”

The Magic shot 18-22 (82%) as a team in the 4th quarter. Even with the hot shooting from the Magic, the Spurs drew to within 1 at 94-93 when DeMar DeRozan split his free throws with 5:20 left in the game. But the Magic went on a 20-10 run to ice the game and drop San Antonio to 22-10 on the year.

Up Next: The Spurs return to the AT&T Center to face the Minnesota Timberwolves. San Antonio is 2-0 vs. Minnesota this year.

Game 33: Timberwolves at Spurs

114 88

Spurs roll over Timberwolves 114-88

SAN ANTONIO– The San Antonio Spurs won for the 5th time in 6 games, beating Minnesota for the 3rd time this season, 114-88. DeMar DeRozan lead the team with 22 points and Jakob Poeltl added 17 points and 9 rebounds off the bench. Once again, the Spurs strangled the three point line, holding the Wolves to 7-28 from three.

The loss dropped the Wolves to 12-20 on the season. The early-season trade of Jimmy Butler for Dario Saric and Robert Covington has largely been a failure, as the team has failed to gel and it is apparent the Wolves need a 3rd star to compete in the West.

Up Next: The Spurs face the 20-11 Houston Rockets tomorrow night in a back to back. San Antonio won the first matchup 109-97.
