Watch Us Reign | Sonics Franchise.

Watch Us Reign

Introduction: Hello, all and welcome to one of my few franchises here on OS. This here is the progression of a franchise that I have already begun. I wanted to utilize the historic draft classes as well as get through multiple seasons and tell a story of my own NBA. So this has been compressed to 15 game seasons as well as 5-7-7-7 playoff format. I have used barncore sliders for this.... Well there isn't much else to be said except welcome to my franchise... I may not have many pictures if any but Im just here for the story and the archive of this franchise that I have been having fun with that is now in its third season.

Re: Watch Us Reign | Sonics Franchise.

Welcome back to Seattle Basketball

Seattle, WA AP - As you may have heard the Supersonics are back in Seattle. While I won't keep you very long I will try to fill you in on some of the whats what in the league.

Lets begin here in Seattle for you fans that may be fresh on the scene for the Sonics. The NBA took this team sometime ago, and were allowed an expansion team no history just a fresh start right after the 2018-19 NBA Season. The collective bargaining agreement got the number of NBA Games cut down to 15 so now every game means something. No resting players its just pure lets give it our all in hopes of making the playoffs and from there win a championship.

Sonics took former Golden State Warriors GM Chicago Made, and offered him the position of President of Basketball operations. Made first day on the job he hired Rick Carlisle whom had just been fired by the Dallas Mavericks. From there Chicago Made drafted Michael Porter Jr. in the expansion draft where he competed against Baltimore Monsters the other expansion team.

Sonics then selected many guys with expiring contracts so they could build within the draft and free agency. In the draft the Sonics were able to snag Jarrett Culver the Texas Tech guard. They managed to draft Charles Matthews from Michigan in the second round and swung a trade to get Carsen Edwards in the second round as well. In free agency Chicago Made hit it big snagging Kemba Walker, Klay Thompson, Khris Middleton and Derrick Favors. This would be a quick build some would think right? NO!!!

Klay, began the season a little sluggish as did the rest of the Sonics finishing with a record of 3-12. They would have the third best odds in the draft with this class being the 1998 draft class with its top prize being Elton Brand. However, Seattle would fall out of the top three and down to the fifth pick in the draft. They would nearly land the guy they wanted in Elton Brand as the Knicks opted to draft Corey Maggette with the number one pick.

Brand would slide to the Sixers whom somehow were in the lottery. As they picked up Kevin Love via trade midway thru the season and this being Ben Simmons contract season. They decided to get even deeper and took Brand from the Sonics. Sixers are loaded for those keeping up they have a roster of Embiid, Butler, Simmons, Love, Brand, while getting Paul Millsap in free agency as well.

With Brand off the board and back up option Lamar Odom going number two to the Wizards. We here in Seattle thought to go with our best player available option. But, would it be Steve Francis, or Baron Davis? We opted for Baron Davis. We now have a guard heavy team with Baron Davis, Kemba Walker, Klay Thompson, Jarrett Culver, Charles Matthews, Carsen Edwards. But, its no void really on the team as they added help with drafting of forward Bennie Boatwright in the second round. Free agency was rather kind to us once again as we signed Ivica Zubac, Joe Harris, and PJ Tucker in the offseason.

Seattle opened the season against a struggling Golden State Warriors franchise. The Warriors were without Steph Curry whom tore his ACL last season. Kevin Durant bolted in the offseason of 2019, accepting a contract with the Indiana Pacers. Klay Thompson, followed former GM Chicago Made to Seattle. Finally, this past offseason Draymond Green left to Minnesota, leaving Steph the lone Warrior of that dynasty.

Seattle were able to handle the Warriors 106-102 in the season opener, they followed that up with a narrow loss to the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks erased a 28-point deficit to defeat the Sonics in what was one of the more disappointing losses of the Sonics young franchise history. In that loss however is when Klay Thompson set the franchise record for points in a game scoring 51 while hitting 11 triples.

In game three of the season the Sonics knocked off the reigning back-to-back champion Houston Rockets in a 130-118 game. Sonics president had this to say "Im glad we beat their a**, I hate the Rockets mainly because of one person but...... lets just say every time Houston is on that schedule these men will be ready for war."

Sonics were led by their three headed monster of Klay, Kemba, Khris as they combined for 78 points and leading the Sonics to a 2-1 start. Now.... You are all caught up and ready to watch us reign over the NBA.

Re: Watch Us Reign | Sonics Franchise.

Clippers huge 2nd-half ends the reign in Seattle.

Los Angeles, CA. AP - Doc Rivers had his guys ready to play, after a few half time adjustments. Despite an off night from Klay the Seattle offense looked good. However, the defense just couldn't get any stops. Shea Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for the Clippers scoring 23 points and dishing out seven assist. Second year player Cam Reddish whom is having a phenomenal year averaging 19.6ppg, and shooting 57% from the field. His 49% three point percentage is amongst tops in the league.

All that showed tonight, as Reddish scored 18 points, five rebounds, and four assists. His 0-5 from three however was uncharacteristic. Shamet, and Jerome Robinson added 17 each. While last seasons second round pick Bruno Fernando chipped in with a double-double. On the other side of the scorers table.

Rookie Baron Davis, had his best scoring output of the season chipping in with 22 off the bench as well as two steals, and a block. Klay, scored 18 which may be his lowest scoring game since opening week of last season. Kemba, struggled again scoring 13 points, on 4-11 shooting.
