Pacers lose game 1 to Nets, 126-106. The Indiana Pacers opened the season at home tonight, unfortunately for the home fans it ended up a loss. Kyrie Irving was too much for the Pacers as he put on a clinic scoring 43 points in 35 minutes. Nate McMillian told reporter at his post game press conference "No matter what adjustments we tried to make, Kyrie was just unstoppable." This isn't really a shock to most people, with Oladipo being out till mid December, most around the league expect the Pacers to stumble. Pacers fall to 0-2 on the season, lose to Portland October 20th 2019  After the game, the Pacers released PF T.J. Leaf and signed free agent Power Forward, Kenneth Faried to a 1 year $2.3 million dollar contract. Faried last played in Houston and Brooklyn in 2018. He averaged 12.9PPG in 24.4MPG in Houston. GM Everroad siad "I wish T.J. all the best but we just needed a upgrade at that position. He was the one that drew the short straw. We expect Kenneth to help us al lot."  |
