And interesting trades for the Clippers -- Kaman was an underrated piece for their team (offensively he's far more accomplished than DeAndre has ever been) and being so young, he'll be a great piece for Miami moving forward. Magette has always been a scorer, so shifting to the other side of the Staples Center locker rooms won't be a big move for him personally but I'll be interested in seeing how he functions in an offense that features experienced stars in Kobe and Pau.
I was pretty shocked with how that game went, the Heat were just off that night and we were on.

The Heat have really been hurting inside all year without Shaq, Kaman will lock things up down there and give them a building block for another finals run.

In LA, Kobe and Pau have been a good combo similar to real-life but Pau is the Lakers second best scorer at 14.9ppg, Kobe has been carrying the team on offense averaging 31ppg. Adding Magette should take some of the burden off Kobe to drop 30 every night.

Plus the Clippers get to start over in what is a pretty great draft class

Great win over the Heat. The Bobcats are (slowly) coming to shape!

Let's hope, I think that win had more to do with us being hot and the Heat cold but I'll take it.

December NBA Preview

Carlos Boozer Goes for Post Shot Over Lamar Odom of the Lakers

Jazz out for Redemption?

CBS SPORTS STUDIO (AP) -- As we hit the first few days of December, we look into what's going in around the NBA. The Utah Jazz are the surprise of the season, the Jazz have came out the gates running. After a Western Conference finals loss to the Spurs last year, the Jazz coached by Jerry Sloan are on a mission to return. Led by the Jazz's newest point guard big man duo, Deron Williams, and Carlos Boozer have this team on top of the entire NBA.

Throughout the West, there is a major scramble, only three games separate the eighth seed from the second seed. The Lakers have just made a major move by picking up Magette and could be looking to overtake the Jazz. The Suns are also coming off a big win against the Bobcats which could get them on track. The Spurs repeat hopes could be in jeopardy as Star Tony Parker will be out several weeks with a broken ankle.

In the East, there is a clear three way battle at the top. Only a game separates the Cavs, Pistons, and Celtics from being at the top of the conference. The tandem of Lebron and Vince Carter has proved lethal for the Cavs who haven't missed a beat by pairing the two stars. The Celtics big three is starting to figure out the kinks, winning their last seven games and lastly the Pistons continue their excellence. Chauncey Billups has stepped up his scoring from 17ppg to 22ppg, so far having the best season of his career.

In the rest of the league, there's been trade rumors surrounding Allen Iverson, Ron Artest, Richard Jefferson, and Andre Miller. Artest, Jefferson, and Miller are all in similar situations, great veterans on teams that are close to the bottom of the NBA.

The Rockets are the team to watch in trade rumors, the Rockets want to find the final piece to turn T-Mac and Yao into a championship contender. They could go after multiple of the players on the block.

In addition, the Wizards could also be a potential destination, currently sitting at 7-12 the Wizards are trying to figure out how to boost their season before it's too late.

No Shaq, No Problem, Suns win Chippy Game Versus Bobcats
December 2nd, 2007

CHARLOTTE -- The Suns haven't quite had the season so far that they expected. By acquiring Shaquille O'Neal the Suns had hoped that they'd take the next step. However, tonight Shaq was out with an irritated knee placing Sean Marks into fire tonight against the Bobcats.

The Suns set the tempo in this game forcing the Bobcats to play with their revolutionary offense. Amare and Nash had a signature performance in this game, with Stoudemire abusing the miss matches against the Bobcats. However, Emeka Okafor started on fire for the Bobcats, scoring eight points in the first five minutes of the game. Sean Marks was no match up for Okafor down on the block, as Okafor used his imposing strength to dominate inside.

In the second with Gerald Wallace on the bench, the Bobcats brought in Ryan Hollins using his size attempting to use him to stop Stoudemire. Hollins clearly, didn't have the skill to stop Amare. However, Hollins and Amare got into it the entire game playing physical during play along with getting chippy after the whistle. Multiple Bobcats would get into spats with Amare and as he dominated the team above the rim.

Gerald Wallace was one the players who benefited from the increased play for the Bobcats, as Felton was able to find him for several easy layups by pushing the pace. Van Gundy attempted to quell the bench scoring problems by placing Adam Morisson with the bench unit for most of the game. It seemed to do the trick tonight as Morisson scored 18pts primarily with the bench players.

However, in the end the Bobcats were just not able to keep up with Nash and Amare at their own game. Amare was spectacular throughout the game, getting 20 rebounds and 32pts, the Bobcats had no answer for him.

Knicks, Bobcats, Magic Interested in Iverson
December 7th, 2007

DENVER -- Although the Nuggets don't want Iverson anymore, there is certainly still a market for the former MVP. The most serious contenders according to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith are the Knicks, Bobcats and Magic. The Nuggets are looking for a piece that will better compliment team basketball rather than having two ISO guys are their man cogs. Iverson has been averaging 24ppg in a season nagged by off the court issues, injuries and lately little minutes from coach George Karl.

The Magic, are looking at Iverson to possibly be the scorer to complement Dwight Howard and Hedo Turkoglu. The Magic's biggest hole is currently at the shooting guard position, where Iverson could slide in to instantly boost the team. Second-year guard J.J Reddick would probably be on the move in this deal which would bring Denver an elite shooter along with a prospect. Dwight Howard is currently having one of the all-time great NBA seasons, averaging 24ppg and 19rpg. Number's the NBA hasn't seen since Wilt Chamberlain, the Magic would be looking to capitalize on their success.

Secondly, the Bobcats, they make the least sense out of all the teams on this list. The average age of their core is just 23 years old, the Bobcats are a young team fighting for an 8th seed spot. Although Iverson, would certainly put this team over the top making them a middle of the pack playoff team it could sacrifice the development of Adam Morisson, Emeka Okafor, Gerald Wallace and Raymond Felton the Bobcats cornerstones. However, Michael Jordan made it clear that he is not building a losing team and that he'd win at all costs. The clear trade piece would be Jason Richardson, the star shooting guard averaging 23ppg in Charlotte. The Bobcats went after Iverson in 2006, but the shooting guard did not want to play for the team then. Would he be more open now?

Lastly, the Knicks, seeing the games most electric player playing in the most electric market would be amazing to witness. The Knicks are currently a few games out of the 8th seed and trading for Allen Iverson would launch them into the playoff hunt. Isiah Thomas has famously touted big players, alongside Iverson, Zach Randolph, David Lee, and Eddy Curry could be the perfect complementary pieces. The Knicks do not have the players to truly intrigue Denver so it would have to be a pick heavy deal to the Nuggets.
