The heat could surprise the nets they made quick work of the hawks and have the deeper team. I thought for sure LA was going to lose 1st round, but they were facing the Pelicans who we all know 2K sim engine loves. The, getting Harrell back will be huge as Lebron needs help scoring. That bucks team is rough I don’t know how they win without giannis. They did sign pat bev after he was bought out so that helped out the bench a little.

Ja Plays Better
His scoring the 1st round was 3 below his regular season total. Your going from a bad defense to the top ranked defense. Dallas 102 per game was the fewest in the league for the regular season.

Make Def Plays
Your top 10 in blocks and steals so that needs to continue

Keep Composure
A very young team with almost no playoff experience the big moments didn't effect them last round. Will they be able to duplicate that with the stakes higher?

Luka Outplays Ja
He always is putting up monster stats and he needs to be the best player on the court. If the margin is even or close to it then Dallas could be in trouble

KP Keeps It Up
He was 20&10 in the regular season on 40% from 3 making all NBA 3rd team. He is also getting 4 blocks a game so far in the playoffs. His shot blocking ability could be a real factor with as much as Ja drives. Even without Luka for most of the year the offense was 11th in scoring.

A Wing Wins 1 Game
A good group of role playing wings for the team with Richardson, THJ, Brunson and Green. If they can have 1 of them go off just once and carry the team to a win that could be the difference.

Porzingis vs Clarke
We talked about how great of a year the unicorn had earlier and he is the starting 4. He makes for a pretty tough inside duo with Drummond with their size and rebounding. His size will obviously create problems Memphis does have JJJ who should be the better matchup against him however then rebounding is a issue. Clarke is going to have his hands full against him.



Luka vs Ja
These two will not be guarding each other Thybulle will guard Luka while Richardson or Green will guard Ja. In a way the pressure is off Ja after winning a series however he needs a good showing if he wants to be a MVP type player next year. It should make for a fun to watch the go after each other even if they only occasionally guard each other.

Luka vs Ja has a chance to be one of the better guard rivalries in NBA history, looking forward to seeing how they go toe to toe. Ja will definitely need to step up his scoring after the last series for sure.

It should be a good test of where my team stacks up. Dallas like I said is very good Luka missed most of the year and they did about got the #1 seed. Seeing Ja go up against Luka will be fun and that matchup should decide the West going foward. Luka sim stats are pretty scary so that part scares me lol

Something I've not talked about since before season 1 started is the goals that were set up. When the 3 years are up we will be able to look back and give it a grade on a scale of 10. You will notice the year 3 roster goals have been updated as well.

Memphis currently has 6 points so to get a perfect 10 and make up for the year 1 failed goals they will have to make the NBA finals next year.

On Court Goals
Year 1
Win 35 games

Year 2
Make the playoffs (+2 points)
Bonus – Advance to 2nd round (+1 point)

Year 3
Make the ECF (+2 points)
Bonus – Make the NBA Finals (+1 point)

Roster Goals
Year 1 – Trade one of the middle tier salaries by the end of the draft (+1 point)
Year 2 – Acquire a starting caliber wing with a B+ in perimeter defense (+1 point)
Year 3 – Resign Jonas & JJJ and Use Cap Space to Acquire a future Draft Pick(+1 point)

Round 2 - Game 1 vs Mavs

Dallas wins this one in a blowout by 41 points. Luka was held to under 20 points on just 7 of 19 shooting. He still had a massive game with a triple double of 19-18-15. Kristops keep his good play up. They also got good games from the 3 main wings. Not a lot tp get excited about for Memphis scoring just 95 points and nobody above 17. It goes without saying that Ja will need to play better.
