Tovarich: Good non-loss. Bad night for Mosley from outside. Gio stepped up and made up for it. Good rebounding night. Rough night for Marciano. It's New Year's Eve folks. Everyone go home and have a drink or two and celebrate. See ya'll next year. Happy New Year everyone.

Makes me want to fire up my PS3 and start a new coaching career myself.
What settings/sliders are you using? Are you playing each game or simming?
Good luck in conference play since there is no conference tournament to determine the league's NCAA tournament bid!

Hey, I haven't messed with the sliders yet, trying to feel out how the game plays still. This is the first one in about 5 years I've played the games myself. I did a season with Princeton and made it a little into season 2 last time I played but it can be tough to keep playing with the same team over and over. I usually just recruit and manage the roster and strategize and sim everything, but that goes very quickly, like maybe an hour and 15 minutes per season, so trying to do something to kill some time since I have lots of it right now.
Tovarich: I am baffled how so many things can go against you in the course of a game. That was the most lopsided rebounding, I guess they're just amazing. Best 5-10 team ever. We missed dunks, I think we shot about 25% from point blank range while they were like 80% and it's hard to remember a time they missed and didn't get it right back. We never turned the ball over the entire game and yet we were never close. I challenge them to shoot almost 60% again when we see them next week. I doubt they'll do it again.
Reporter: How detrimental is this to the conference race?
Tovarich: It's brutal. They're one of the worst teams in the conference, and that's a road game you need. You can only lose maybe 3? and expect to have a realistic chance of winning. And I don't expect to beat people like Yale on the road so you really count on this one as being necessary. All home games are a must but beating these bottomdwellers is pretty much a must too.
Reporter: Did you panic too early and resort to shooting 3's too much?
Tovarich: Maybe a little, but Mosley can shoot it any time he's open. He just had a terrible night. And literally everyone who put a Harvard jersey on was great at shooting Has to be a fluke or they wouldn't have losses to Asheville and IPFW type teams. I dare them to do it again.
Reporter: Is it better or worse to play them back to back games?
Tovarich: I don't think it matters.
Reporter: Will you change anything?
Tovarich: Not a thing. We are going to be us and if they play out of their minds again, then they do and I'll just accept that the universe doesn't want us to beat them.
Tovarich: As I suspected, you can't have EVERYTHING go against you twice in a row. Got some more bounces this time. Double teaming their guards lead to a lot of turnovers and some fast break points for us. Usually it's a guard who gets down the court first, but credit to Hall for hustling down, he was often out front on the break and it lead to some easy layups for him.
Reporter: The rebounding totals were still bad, what can you do?
Tovarich: Recruit a better center. I've instructed the team to crash the defensive boards more at the expense of any kind of fast break and they still can't do much. Marciano might be due for a pep talk. He handled the first couple games off the bench well, but it's been bad lately. New Hampshire is up next and they don't have a true C on their roster that I can see, so it definitely needs to be better against them.
Reporter: You said you weren't going to change anything. That clearly wasn't true.
Tovarich: Of course not. You think we tell you everything? Double teaming the guards was a big part of the plan and playing some more zone to deny the passes down to the big men was also part of the plan. Who says you need to know about it?
Reporter: Just how important is beating your in-state rival New Hampshire?
Tovarich: I haven't gotten any indication this rivalry is all that huge. It's not a conference game. It's not like the state produces many prospects for us to battle for in recruiting. It's something I might find out I'm wrong about I've played them, but to have some games after conference season started is a little awkward and I don't overly care for it. Those are the important ones, but we hit the 10-win mark and that mattered. We just need 3 more to clinch a winning season. That's a good thing to put on the resume. Then we'll go for 20 and a conference championship, so every game helps.
