Tovarich: That ended up being quite a turnaround from the first four minutes. I thought we were done when it was 14-2 and Marciano had missed four point blank shots in a row and they started on fire. The press really turned things around quickly. They were a turnover machine after that. Never seen a center go 0-7, all from right around the rim and manage to come up short on a one-foot shot. Luckily after those first four minutes where they started 5-6 shooting, they really cooled off. Lots of other guys stepped up and made up for Marciano's night. I doubt we'll see that again from him. He did some decent rebounding at least.
Reporter: Why don't you full court press more since it was so effective?
Tovarich: It hasn't always been effective, but mostly we don't have the depth to be doing that too long. I'd need at least 12 or 13 players I can trust to put out on the floor to be able to do that. It was needed to get us back in it in the first half when they jumped out so fast, but it's not a long term solution.
Reporter: Princeton beat Yale and turned around and lost to Brown tonight. Do you think your team is back in it now?
Tovarich: Maybe we are, but it's barely the half-way point, not ready to dwell on it yet.
Ivy League Conference Standings - Updated: Feb 22, 2008
Tovarich: It's hard to remember the last time we out-rebounded someone. But we have a lot of shooters slumping. Neither big guy could hit a shot from right at the rim, I don't know what to do about that other than hope they figure out how to stop letting the rim block half their shots from point blank range. Gio can't hit anything. They did a good job on Mosley staying very tight on him. Could not get him open, but Sanders hit a few since they were not covering him at all.
Reporter: What kind of defense were they employing there in the second half?
Tovarich: The triangle and 2 is a rare one huh?
Reporter: Do you think your team simply lacks the toughness to finish at the rim and that's why they miss so many point blank shots?
Tovarich: If you're not tough enough to muscle your way to some rebounds usually, you can probably assume they're not tough enough to muscle their way around the big guys to lay it in either.
Reporter: Princeton went down again tonight and have lost two in a row. Is this a good time to be playing them?
Tovarich: I've made my thoughts on momentum clear to you before. There's no reason they can't come shoot 60-something percent again tomorrow night like they did the first time and since we can't shoot right now, I have no reason to be optimistic we could get into a shooting contest with them if that's how it goes.
Triangle and 2 is a good one, tough to play against!! Have used it a few times coaching my high school team! You're having a great start to the season man! Are they all generated names on the rosters? I tried running the game on a ps3 emulator but my pc isn't up to it! So frustrating, need to get my hands on an old ps3 and hard copy of the game!

I downloaded some rosters onto a thumb drive from the 2K forum, luckily it's an easy process. I'm not great with technology.
Tovarich: We really choked that one. I've never seen so many shots rattle out that could've gone down in a half. I thought Gio was banned from making a shot when he started 0-8. That one is sickening. We got 15 extra shots than them and still lost. Baffling.
Reporter: What's the update on Powers' injury?
Tovarich. His ankle's broken and his season is over. In case it wasn't bad enough tonight.
Reporter: Do you think you're eliminated from the championship?
Tovarich: Yes. Even if we won the last 4, I'm not sure if that'd be good enough. And there's no reason to think we will.
Reporter: The FT disparity was surprising.
Tovarich: Sure was, I thought we were the home team. Just add that to the list of things that managed to go against us. It's almost shocking we were within 3 I guess. Blown out in rebounding almost singlehandedly, a blown dunk on a breakaway, another array of missed point blank shots.
Reporter: Is Princeton just a matchup problem for you?
Tovarich: They're obviously far superior shooters. I have one shooter and a bunch of other guards who seem like they're allergic to hitting one.
Reporter: This is the last week of recruiting before the offseason. How is it going?
Tovarich: Not great. Hope we'll end up signing a couple guys, one foreign one but interest hasn't been great.
Tovarich: Shocked we eeked that one out at the end. The universe seemed like it was against us the way we missed at least 10 point blank shots in the second half alone. The turnovers definitely won it for us. They pressed us a lot but they somehow couldn't handle it. Their center did an amazing job somehow defending two people at once and forcing all those missed layups without ever picking up a single foul the whole game. Still wondering if Gio is banned from making a shot.
Reporter: Are you sure your defense isn't at any fault for the opposition shooting over 60% yet again?
Tovarich: The Ivy League is apparently full of the world's greatest jump shooters. All we can do is prevent the shots from happening by forcing turnovers. Pressing when we get down by 10, double teaming the guys who don't have great ball handling skills and getting some jump balls and forcing some desperation passes through the zone D.
Reporter: If you win @ Columbia and Princeton loses one more, you can take the conference by winning your last two at home. Is that something you think the team is aware of?
Tovarich: I hope they're aware of the @ Columbia part. We still need some help, but no amount of help matters if we don't win tomorrow night.
Tovarich: We never had a chance against the New York Knicks tonight. Most laughably lopsided half of basketball I've ever seen. Can only laugh. We're eliminated. Don't ask. We can't rebound. Don't remind me. We don't play defense apparently. That's why they shoot so well. We can't shoot at all. Credit to the Knicks. They're amazing. See ya'll next week. (walks out)
