We all know that speed and quickness kills and it certainly can on a basketball court. This is precisely how a team can score easy layups on the run and play stifling defense by moving the feet.

I thought it would be fun to construct a team of the quickest NBA players of all time. Keep in mind that I am trying to build a club whose players had the skill sets to complement each other. Among players who have equitable speed and quickness, like say Chris Paul and Randy Smith, I will...

NBA Championship Odds

Updated 02-21-2019 at 04:47 PM by AlexBrady
Discounting any injuries, here are my highly subjective odds to win it all. I only considered teams that are currently above .500.

Golden State 1:2 -- This team has the confidence born of winning Championships. Have three dreadnaught scorers. They run the most effective offense in the game today. Cousins gives them more beef in the middle. When the playoffs begin will they turn on the collective 'A' game?

Toronto 5:2 -- In Kawhi Leonard they have the finest two way...

With the NBA Finals wrapping up here are some of my personal grades from the series.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Kyrie Irving- Grade- C-plus Had some success scoring in isolations but dominated the ball too much.

J.R. Smith- Grade- C-minus Mostly invisible early in the series before coming to life later. Didn't play defense and made foolish plays.

LeBron James- Grade- B-plus Attacked the basket, passed, and rebounded but couldn't defend or hit...

The Best NBA Ballclubs that Didn't win the Title

In response to last night's NBA TV Open Court episode that debated this very topic. I looked at the rosters, competition, and records to determine these rankings.

5. 1982 Boston Celtics

RECORD — 63-19 .768 (1st)
OFFENSE — 112.0 (4th)
DEFENSE — 105.6 (8th)

This team had a great front-line in Larry Bird, Cedric Maxwell, and Robert Parish. The guards were Gerald Henderson and an older Tiny Archibald. Off the bench came Kevin McHale who abused...

The Best Championship Rounds in NBA History

Posted 05-31-2017 at 12:29 PM by AlexBrady
Updated 05-31-2017 at 01:08 PM by AlexBrady
With the Finals starting up tomorrow I thought I would rank the best Championship rounds in the game's history. This was based on the quality of the teams, players, and overall competitiveness. The longer the better so I only ranked those rounds which went the full seven games.

5. 1974 Boston 4 Milwaukee 3

A memorable series which pitted finesse (Milwaukee) against strength (Boston). Dave Cowens, the 6-9 center, used his strength to wear down a young Kareem...
