Last week started our spring break at school so I wanted a new challenge. I decided to go to the Jets and see what I could do with them. I know...not one of the glamorous teams but kind of like the Rodney Dangerfield of east coast football...no respect. So I spent hours going over the data...cutting the dead weight and trying to build a half way decent coaching staff. My first year went 9-7 and fired just about all of the coaches.

I have been a Browns fan my whole life. I still cringe when I hear the phrase "The Drive" and the name of John Elway sticks in my throat (even though I have to admit he was a great player) so after getting familiar with Head Coach I decided to try to take my beloved team all of the way to the Promised Land...the last time they had won the championship was the year I was born so I wanted to see it happen in my lifetime where I could remember it.

Well...I thought I had the salary cap stuff figured out...but I think I confused myself. I had 31 mil left under salary cap but I had 11 players that I wanted to resign so I didnt sign any fa's and got my draft picks to sign low offer sheets (which I always try to do). I signed everybody I wanted to and still ended the year with 11 mil under the cap. I dont know for sure what happened...but hey..I am not complaining. I have 23 mil at the start of this year and only have 7 guys I want to resign....

Here it is Friday, the 27th, and I am looking forward to the weekend. I have been able to get around an hour in a night after everyone goes to bed (enough time to pay 1 game and do the management stuff) but it has been going well. I have 2 teams going at the moment...the browns...which I just started...and the panthers who are in the 2nd season. Some parts of it have been very frustrating...trying to figure out the emotion thing...which I have given up on by the way...but other parts have been...
