NCAA Football 11

I just don't see how people can say that NCAA 11 has not been a step forward from what we have seen. In years past on this gen, players could turn 90 degrees full speed with not penalty. This was unrealistic and felt cheesy.

Now, with this new locomotion, its been very evident from videos that this is no longer the case. Players now lean when turning and cannot turn on a dime. If you want to make a turn fast, your player has to cut and head in that direction. No longer are we stuck with unrealistic running.

Also, another thing that has improved is the blocking. Apparently EA has completely rewritten they're blocking logic, and I must say it shows. The blocking does not look completely terrible anymore. I actually saw some good blocking logic that looked nice. If the blocking has improved as much as the rest of the gameplay, then I could see NCAA 11 being the best NCAA game ever.

With ESPN presentation, new and beautiful graphics, locomotion, authentic team entrances, etc. this game is shaping up to be a hit.

Nice read. Those people are not going to like the game regardless what EA does. That last sentence alone is huge step up for this gen and people still are not even remotely satisfied. SMFH

Agreed. I think we're in the minority of people on OS who are optimistic about this year's release.

While I am very much looking forward to this game and believe they are going to definitely improve on last year's effort, overall, I think people are skeptical because of the vids that were shown. While the latest vid of the Offensive Styles looks ok, we don't get to see enough of what's been tauted in regards to locomotion, dual stick controls, blocking AI and such. That leaked vid from the other day killed a lot of buzz, including mine, but my logic kicked in and wrote it up to an alpha version, which it has been said it is not only by EA but those from CD. I figure there will be more vids to come to get more of a look at the new improvements.

The latest round of info has me pretty excited over NCAA 11's potential. Hopefully it will live up to it.
