BREAKING NEWS: Dodgers send Manny, Blake to T.B. for Crawford

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers shocked the baseball world after their disappointing 7-3 loss to the D'Backs when they announced the trade of Manny Ramirez. Ramirez, Casey Blake and A.J. Ellis have been sent to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for Carl Crawford, Willy Aybar and Dioner Navarro.

Joe Torre expressed disappointment in the defense of Ramirez and Blake. "Their age is finally catching up to them and we were able to get enough value for them, so we pulled the trigger. At the end of the day this is a business and we needed to do something about this slow start." said Torre.

Before the season started Ramirez was caught saying this will be his last year with L.A., well his season as a Dodger ended earlier than that. Dodgers still have issues though, they're ranked 23rd in ERA with a 4.82. Manny takes his hot bat to Tampa who now looks like the favorite out of the A.L. East as they are currently in first place at 7-3.

Russell Martin is expected to switch to 3rd base with Navarro going back to the Dodgers as their catcher. Aybar gives L.A. another switch hitter that they desperately need off the bench.

The new Dodgers are expected to play today as Clayton Kershaw goes up against Tim Lincecum.

Wow, that's a pretty big move! Seems like a fair deal. Where is Carl going to hit in the dodger lineup and who will replace Manny at 4. I only assume you batted him 4.
