From the haters in their own backyard that say the Clippers have taken over the city, to the so called experts saying they are just to old and slow to win it all, the Lakers are ready to prove all their doubters wrong this year!

76ers down Nuggets in season opener

Evan Turner and the 76ers take the win over the Denver Nuggets in the season opener last night. The game was never quite as close as the score would suggest. Despite a 20pt 13reb double double performance from Gallo, it just wasn't enough for the Nuggets to overcome the outing from the 76ers.

The Denver Nuggets get their season underway tomorrow in Philadelphia. Denver looks to get off to a hot start and hopefully get themselves a nice seed in the playoffs. Here's a preview of tomorrows game.

Howard pulls out big double double in his first game as a Laker.

The Lakers got their season off to a nice start last night at the Staples Center. After trailing most of the game including being down by ten at the half and entering the 4th, they were able to turn it around and hold the Mavericks to just 18 points in the 4th while they piled on 33 to get the win at home 100-95.

Well it's finally here!! The start of the 2012-2013 NBA season! The first game of the season for your LA Lakers will be at home in the Staples Center against the Dallas Mavericks and their All-Star PF Dirk Nowitzki. Lets hope the Lake Show can gel well with their new pieces and start the season out with a victory at home!
