Summary

With offense in no shortage this game, the opening game of the 3 game series with the Royals ends with a W for the Royals and the Sox trying to figure out how to win game 2 of the series tomorrow. Although its nice to see some of the bats start to pick up and get on base, its concerning that the pitching is struggling as of late giving up 42 runs in the last 5 games.

Going into the series with Minnesota The Sox are riding high on energy and having a great start to the season. After taking the first 2 series of the season the Sox swept the Rays in a 4 game series, split 1-1 with Texas, and then lost the series 1-2 to the Yankees. After taking both series against the Tigers and Jays the Red Sox open up at home with a 4 game series vs the Rays. Making his second start of the season Rubby De La Rosa had a very strong and convincing win going 6 and 1/3 and only allowing 1 ER while striking out 10.
