Grand Madden Idea? And What They're Missing

Posted 09-05-2011 at 11:15 AM by xbreezex
Hey readers, I beleive that they're missing things like premature celebrations/good entertaining celebrations (what happened to adding cool dances), player scuffles, late hits (I'll extend on this later), they need the helmets popping off on occasion, maybe have the chinstrap unbuckle from big impact (it happens, I play football). After huge hits the crowd should go 'oooooooooooooooooo'' players and all are hyped up you know? REAL MOTHER F********* SOUL.

Now with late hits I believe it should be a game intensity meter for each player if not just the team as a whole. This meter would track the likely hood of a dirty play or foolish penalty. Games would have the right amount of penalties it should and not just random. If this is put in,you'd see why certain penalties will happen. Guys keep it classy, some guys lose it when they are getting beat off the ball, some guys are just beast (warren sapp for instance, great player but the center of hostility on the field you know?). But I think this intensity meter would truly help the game and the madden franchise for the creativity side.

It could even help out franchise mode. Now this should interfare with a team personality trait thing even go deeper into the ratings.

Teachable athlete- High (the ability to learn the offense, listen to your coach. Ill also explain this later)

Poise- Medium (The ability to control his anger on the field, and stay clean)

Desire/passion- High (how much he celebrates or how hungry he is for a play, in a defensive case would show how often he makes mistakes)

Leader- Medium (Self explainitory, showing leadership on the field. Making right decisions and pumping players up)

Coaches should have these ratings too.

Teacher- High (Teaching your team how you run things)

Motivational- medium (the abilty to inspire his players to do well and be on the same pae)

Poise- High (for if he loses it on the sideline, show cutscene of the coach celebrating or being pissed)

Passion- High (Enjoyment of his job it should reflect on player progression and team morale) A coach like Wade Phillips would provide ZERO progression and team morale, he had no voice.

Control-High (Level of respect you receive as a coach.)

Now with the Teaching feature in franchise you should have to go through your whole playbook during the preseason or when ever you want to teach your players the plays for offense mainly (your defense would be out there getting reps too so dont worry vice versa). The more you run a play in practice the clearer it is so when your in a game less mistakes on route would be made or blocking assignments. I think this would be a cool addition because I myself mess up some plays then the pressure can get to you. To notify what you player doesnt know show his routes changing when showing the play because that would show that he is unsure of what to do. understand?

now I dont expect this in particular to be put in right away but its cool to me and worth a shot, that's as real as it gets but make it playable. Thanks for reading.

(Sorry for any typos, not revising right now)

Whats Your Favorite Era of the NFL?

For me I think that the Early to mid 2000's where the best time periods of football. I know I'm still young but now a days the league feels watered down man.

For some reason its like after Madden 09 (really 2008 season) football got a little leveled down to me but here's some key players I want to mention from those eras, try to remember them.

QB: Brett Farve (GB) Jake Plummer (DEN), Trent Green (KC), Carson Palmer (CIN) Kerry Colins (OAK), Drew Bledsoe (BUF), Marc Bulger (STL), Steve Mcnair R.I.P (TEN), Gus Frerotte (MIA), Vinnie Testerverde (NY) I loved watching Vinnie throw all those Pics LOL.

RB: Clinton Portis (WAS), Tiki Barber (NYG) , Shawn Alexander (SEA), Larry Johnson (KC) , Edgerrin James (IND), Mike Anderson (DEN), Lamont Jordan (OAK) Rudi Johnson (CIN) Warrick Dunn (ATL) Willis Mcgahee (BUF) Willie Parker (PIT) Cadillac Williams (TB)

FB: Mike Allstot

WR: Jerry Rice (SF,OAK played till like 40 years old) Chad Johnson (CIN still good slight downfall) Anquan Boldin (ARI) Tory Holt (STL) Marvin Harrison (IND) Terry Glenn (DAL) Chris Chambers (MIA) Rod Smith (DEN) Isaac Bruce (STL) Terrell Owens (PHI) Eric Moulds (BUF)

TE: Tony Gonzales (KC) Jeremy Shockey (NYG), Alge Crumpler (ATL), Todd Heap (BAL), Antonio Gates (SD)

DE: Derrick Burrgess (OAK) , Simeon Rice (TB) , Jason Taylor (MIA), Micheal Strahan (NYG), Adewale Ogunleye (CHI), Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (GB)

DT: Warren Sapp (TB, OAK) love that guy straight nasty on the field ,Marcus Stroud (JAX)

LBs: Joey Porter (PIT) Zach Thomas (MIA) Keith Bulluck (TEN) Derrick Brooks (TB) Sheldon Quarles (TB) Mike Vrabel (NE) Jeremiah Trotter (PHI) James Farrior (PIT) Derek Smith (SF) Cato June (IND) Keith Brooking (ATL) Adalius Thomas (BAL) Terrell Suggs (BAL)

CB: Ty Law (NYJ, KC) Dre Bly (DET) Deltha O'neal (CIN) Champ Bailey (DEN) Ronde Barber (TB)

S: Adrian Wilson (ARI) , Gibril Wilson (NYG), John Lynch (TB Monster)

KR: Dante Hall (KC) Just amazing

Dont these group of notable players seem tougher and more physical? When the league was nasty. I liked the old griddiness of the league now its a bunch of watered down drama.

Real Talk: What makes a true fan?

Yeah so on my last blog I was talking about the Eagles and how everybody wants to ride with them so suddenly when I didn't hear much noise about them last year really. I called them bandwagoners and I was virtually attacked, being that what I said was true I guess.

I had also stated that I favor the Jets, Cheifs, Lions and I truly respect what Rodgers has done with the Packers. So just take the first 3 as my faves, the Packers I just like out of respect not really a fav. When they saw that they said "Oh be a real fan" and "bandwagoner".... last time I checked these teams really havent done anything truly significant to be considered a "bandwagon". I liked the Lions even from their 0-16 season, the Cheifs from landing Cassel believe, and the Jets from when they drafted Sanchez.... those were the years I actually had favorites before I could care less.

I see how great these specific teams can be which is why I like them, nothing more. No one talks a lick about these teams except the Jets, Rex Ryan has a great personality which is another strong reason for me liking the Jets. Mark Sanchez needs to be stronger in the clutch and we can go the next step. Having Derrick Mason and Burress will be interesting, I would have liked if they traded for Lee Evans because right now I'm predicting that their offense will be really slow this year. The Jets should have just gave a 4th round pick.

Jamaal Charles is a beast for the Cheifs, I knew they'd be strong when they picked up Thomas Jones. Then they had Mike Vrabel, Tamba Hali is nasty, Eric Berry is the MF man, Brandon Flowers is a good corner will be great in the future, Dwayne Bowe had his best season, and Dexter Mccluster is speedy, last but not least Matt Cassel did his thing. Also the added slot receiver Steve Breaston from Arizona Cards. Cool addition.

The Lions now, One of my favorite Wide outs "Calvin Johnson" is a freaking beast straight up also had a probowl season, Stafford is good now needs to be healthy, Jahvid Best very good RB coming out of Cal, They have a nasty D-line, But need help with their Secondary and can use some better line backers. Also Its funny how all my favorite wideouts names are Johnson, Chad Johnson being the first (I love his footwork, I look up to him and use his drills now my feet look good, Calvin is a beast like I said before, and the Andre is on the same boat.

At the end of the day, no one could ever call me a bandwagoner. Just doesn't make sense. These teams all came up short last year, guess what? Im still with them. You see why I like them, you'd be a fool to disagree. The young talent here is rediculous and just amazing to watch. I enjoy football as a whole, Im not here to like the biggest talks of the season. These are my teams.

You tell me what is a true fan? With out being bitter and unreal because you like one team. Lets hear. :waytogo:

P.S. Lebron used to be my first ballot favorite player till I saw how he acted on Miami, he screwed up his image bad and then choked during the season. Matter fact, I knew they would do bad since the decision becuase they have to sacrifice how they really play. You can't have 3 number one options. Now I can careless for him (even if they won the title IDC), now all my respect goes to Durant and OKC. Brutal young force. I wish the Knicks well they need help.
