- As many fights as you want as long as you are healthy enough(Pro or Am)

-Starting at 14, 16 or just turn pro at 17 or 18

-Having as many fights as you want from shows in your state, country, and international fights

-Amateur tournaments

-Collecting trophies and medals from tournaments(fight of the night)

-Press conferences

-Being scouted by promotional companies

-Find talent- Scout new fighters and try to attract other top fighters to your gym, a fighter on a bad run of form is more likely to be unsettled and you could get a great boxer to join your stable

-Picking trainer(s) and coaching team(stay with amateur trainer or pick pro trainer)

-Create gyms-Pool/list of that you can integrate into your career

-Gym Finances Your gym is a business and those books have to balance

-Create trainers-Pool/list/Database of that you can integrate into your career

-Create boxers-Pool/list/Database of that you can integrate into your career

-Create promoters(promotional companies)/managers-Pool/list/Database of that you can integrate into your career

-Create tournaments

-Create governing bodies-Database

-Boxing Politics- Rival promotional companies, Interactive news feed, Press conferences, Fighter rivalries and rematches, a high depth Boxing world.

-Training Camp Set out training camp duration and regime, do you want to take a scientific approach, a old school approach, balanced, cardio heavy or boxing heavy, find and hire sparring partners that resemble your opponents fighting style.

-Rankings Rise up the rankings of the boxing governing bodies, as well as the linear True rankings, and eventually break in to the Pound 4 Pound top 10.

-Stable Harmony If you have 4 of the top 10 boxers in the world all fighting out of your gym, disarray may quickly set in, fighters need time and special attention too much world class fighters and you may see a drop in morale, and losses creep in. Set out your plans and goals with each fighters career and see them through.

-Contracts- Negotiate Purses, contracts, Pay Per view split, ring size etc.

-Awards- Fight of the year, prospect of the year, round of the year, trainer of the year, promoter of the year, KO of the year, Hall of fame inductees etc

-Watch Videotape Scout your next opponent through 3D video tape

-Tell of the Tape/Keys to victory/Broadcast Style presentation

-Creating records and breaking records

Re: What a boxing videogame career mode would look like to me

Great list.
I'd add one - static ratings.
I'm tired of the old, start at 50 then add points as you train/fight until you reach 99.
Tyson didn't start with 50 power like Floyd didn't start with 50 handspeed.

As your career progresses you can learn new punches, combos, work on your stamina, defense, etc.
But things like power, handspeed, chin should be set from the get-go.
You can still improve on those things as well, but it shouldn't be dramatic like going from 50 power to 100.

I think not having an owner/promoter/gm mode is a major fumble. Would make the replay value sky high
