I don't know if it was due to budget or what, but career mode is very text adventure-ish.

Almost every feature within the mode is ultimately just text. The article mentions lack of mini games and the fact that belts don't exist outside of text that says you are a champion. I'm just as annoyed that corner feedback is nothing but text also.

I'm hoping there will be updates to this mode.
Hearing there's a lack of new fighters coming into the universe is disapppointing.
And I couldn't agree more that there should be an option to spar. Allow the user to skip this if they want, but let us have the choice. This would also give the dynamic of potential injuries more weight.

So I just got this game today. The Tyson Paul fight had me in a boxing mood and I caught it on sale and figured why not. I haven't been able to find an answer, but do your created fighters for career mode decline over time? IN reality the mode should get harder when you get older, but I don't know if that was incorporated in the game.

So I just got this game today. The Tyson Paul fight had me in a boxing mood and I caught it on sale and figured why not. I haven't been able to find an answer, but do your created fighters for career mode decline over time? IN reality the mode should get harder when you get older, but I don't know if that was incorporated in the game.

Good question. I’m trying to recall. I want to say yes, you start gaining weight faster as time progresses (don’t quote me on that however lol). Last career mode i made it to the top in was during early access. Fights did get harder, just can’t remember the exact reason at the moment.

I’m in a career now, so we’ll find out for sure soon I suppose. This career mode is very precise, I will say that. Every single stat, while seeming like it might not mean something, has small effects. Your overall rating will drop by as much as 3 - 5 points if you’re out of weight standards before a fight and you can feel a decline in sharpness as well. Those are things I’ve direct for sure noticed recently.

Lastly, I suggest to stay away from Pro and Undisputed difficulty. Those levels blatantly cheat.

Thanks for the write up Steve, but you'll probably have to do a part 2, rumor has it mid December there's suppose to be a pretty significant patch to address alot of the issues fir the game.

Including the first 6 fighters paid or free dlc, is unknown yet, also career mode is supposed to get a cleaning so we'll see, I sure hope so.

I wonder what 6 new fighters we are getting....I am praying for some more middleweight classics like Hearns, Hagler and is there any shot we get Mike Tyson? Probably not Tyson...he probably would want way too much cash....then again they have two version of Ali so why not Tyson?

Maybe some Aaron Pryor and Alexis Arguello?

Yeah bro! I'm excited as well! I would love to see hearns, hagler, duran, Aaron, and Alexis, also Tyson! I'd like to see spinks the jinx! Tony tubby, Lennox Lewis, holyfield! Max baer! Man can go on and on!

I'm hoping really for a deeper career mode, cleaned up camera angle from ref, online for console players to create fighters and download them, this should be in there, you can download rosters from every game practically now a days, on all consoles and pc, created fighters without limits on attributes!

I'd love to see classic rings from the 80s and 90s!

I play fight night champion to, I see some resemblance in both, still a fun game, I agree though for today's Era undisputed could make it's on mark! I'm hoping the devs can deliver.

This first partial patch was good and fixed some much needed things but there's still plenty to be done, personally I say there doing there best and I believe they deliver a decent experience for everyone!

I know AI fighters decline, so that would make it very uneven later in the mode if your fighter doesn't.

I really like the way UFC handles career longevity, where your tougher fights where you take a lot of damage shortens your career. Needs a slider, but really like the idea.

Definitely was a good idea but decreased too fast for my liking. I always found myself wanting a few more fights as the it appeared that all of the A.I. fighters had records with waaaay more fights than I could ever get to.

not currently - although your created fighters appear in the lineup of quick fights depending on the weight you created them in.

a big point I hope is addressed is you cannot adjust difficulty in career. Normally I wouldn't care but after 20 fights at LHW on PRO I'm tired of the AI cheating so much so I looked to switch to intermediate and cannot - so don't make the same mistake I did.
