Re: Undisputed Deluxe WBC Edition Launches Today - Post Your Impressions

The 30s-40s era looks to be very overextending a lot of times to the body and is very hesitant in most movements.*
*
They don't fight from range much; they leave themselves open a lot.
*
*
They use mostly counters when up close; the lateral movement is very basic; they don't seem to be able to punch from range while doing it smoothly; they have to stop then punch most of the time, and their feet are mostly tiptoeing.
*
This way of fighting was how they fought back then. I only see some of this outdated way of fighting in Louis/Rock in the game, and they were able to use advances from the 70s-90s. Their fighting was way too smooth and fast for their era, which isn't how they fought.*
*
I understand they can't have every single movement, but more of this old era of fighting would be way more realistic for me to see in the game. It would be very cool to see.

5.Today I played with Usky for the first time as a switch stance hitter. I only can switch stances when I stand still. It would be very cool to switch while punching like he actually does. His punches aren't as fast as they should be. This guy is very unique and one of my favourite hw styles in history.*

6. Bruno was known to have a dangerous hard jab to keep the person at bay and could ko them; his jab can't ko people.*

1.Frazier fights in the same pattern up and down head movement, throwing 1 or 2 punches; repeat; Joe's punch angles are wide hooks, straight jabs, a duck, and back to repeating the coming forward up and down head movement.

2.In the game, he also isn't fighting like that; he is using a crossarm defense instead of his simple up-and-down bob. I don't know. If this is fixed In the full version, or those other things missing, I said, also Frazier is missing his leaping hook; he threw that a lot.

3.And I wonder if weight will come into play. It's no way if I'm bruno/bowe hitting smaller lhw like Patterson or Rock, I should need to hit them lots of times just to ko them or to put them in danger.

4.Morrison was known to use lateral movement to come in and out quick. It feels as if he is too heavy to do that smoothly. I also can't hit combos fast with him as fast as he should.

This right here. I'm 57 and I'm also really enjoying this game for what it is, I'm pretty much exclusively an offline player, & I'm really enjoying career mode and also creating dream matchups going up against the AI, I'm also very thankful to have a boxing game.

My biggest gripe right now is punch tracking. Its HORRENDOUS.

If you ever thought to yourself "that punch looked like it landed"...It probably did...

Been playing the PC version for a while. The roster is still lacking. No Mike Tyson, Holyfield, Foreman, etc. I still don't like how fast the CPU can move backwards when they are hurt.

Really enjoying the game. I’m having a hard time figuring out why my stamina burns faster than the cpu? Other than that it’s been a fun experience in the 2 short days that I’ve played.

That has been a problem for a long time ever since the beginning. USER takes a much bigger and faster stamina lost than the CPU. At one point they fixed it for a couple weeks than it went back to the way it is now.

Re: Undisputed Deluxe WBC Edition Launches Today - Post Your Impressions

I'm switching up between PC and Xbox Series X versions now. Depends on if my wife and daughter still awake lol. If they're awake, I hit the office and jump on the PC, once they're sleep I hit the Xbox version on the big screen! I'm very excited to see what the future brings for this. They have a ways to go, hell, UFC5 has been out for almost a year and they're still patching and adding fighters, I have high hopes for Undisputed. The foundation is there, let's see where they take it.

A few things that need to be addressed:

1. Career mode presentation/flare.
2. Lateral movement in the pocket (not sure why your boxer gets stuck in mud when close in to the opponent). Backing up is also a problem, its like I get stuck and can't get away, then the super spammers go ham on me lol.
3. Tone down that super spam hook, I would suggest knocking off some percentage of damage off of that, maybe 20 - 30 % off and spammers going to have problems.
4. Make the lean/sway mechanics a bit more smooth (that would take a completely new control scheme however, not sure they can change that at this point).

Overall, I'll give the game a 6.5 - 7.0 right now. I'm 9-11 on Xbox and 2-2 on PC. PC has more desync I've noticed than the Xbox version. Having a blast with this, SCIs attention to detail with the boxer locomotion is second to none, first time I've seen this type of precision movement in a boxing/UFC game. I'm hearing some people saying its clunky when it's really just that they're used to EAs brand of fighters with everyone sliding around the ring like Disney on ice lol, with zero weight transition. I can see what they mean from that perspective as the change of direction in Undisputed is not immediate response to controller input, however, this is the developers intent so if you're not feeling it, all I can say is stick with FNC and UFC5 for your combat sports fix. This game was certainly made by "sim" heads for "sim" heads (for the most part).
