I know that they are fighting in Hatton's backyard, but I like Tszyu in this. Gonna be a great fight to watch on a Saturday night.

After Corrales/Castillo, I just want another epic battle...too much to ask probably, but this one has the potential to be a pretty good fight as well. I think Tszyu tames Hatton and his hometown fans late in the fight, but I wouldn't be suprised if Hatton has some big rounds before that.Comment

I was totally disgusted by this fight. I was pulling for Tszyu. I honestly never saw Hatton fight before and I couldn't stand to watch his style. I have to give it to him for being aggressive and nonstop but I didn't like all of the clinching and tie-ups.
I thought Kos needed a knockout to win as soon as I saw the rawkus crowd. No way he was getting a decision in his favor over there.
I thought the fight was even or Tsyzu 1 round ahead by the time he freaking quit. To me, he was landing more of the cleaner blows whereas Hatton was bulldozing his way in (which is effective). The refereeing was horrible IMO. He rarely broke up the nonstop clinching and Tsyzu's first knockdown was obviously a clean hit but it was scored a low blow. He hit Hatton right on his belt. Clear as day. Dropped him to one knee.
And then the unbelievable dirty low blow that Hatton hit Tsyzu with after the warning (for what I thought was another clean hit by Kos). I actually cringed when he hit him because he jumped into that low blow.
Despite all of that, I blame Tsyzu for giving up at the end. He said he thought he was 3-4 points behind but I didn't see it. He was classy in his exit but I can't believe he gave up.
Hatton didn't impress me fighting in his backyard. I'd much rather see him fight a good contender at a neutral site. His defense needs alot of work.Comment

Hatton got clubbed atleast 5 times in the groin by Kos (once on the knockdown/slip) and then again when Kos got warned (it was about 4 rapidly in succession) and that shot Hatton nailed Kos with in the gonads was absolutley brutal. Anyone have a GIF? I thought was a really good fight and i'd love to see a rematch. Hatton just out worked and out fought him and fought his fight. It was also good that everyone in the MEN arena got sent home happy and they didnt have a riot.As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. He hit him in the belt. That's not low.
The second one was questionable (the quick flurry before Hatton came back at him).
But the one where he dropped Hatton was clear as day. Hit him right on the belt and dropped him.
Freeze- some sour grapes because Kos gave up but I'm just calling it how I saw it.
Still unimpressed by Hatton's boxing skills. More impressed by his drive/determination and energy.Comment

Hatton fought a very smart fight. There was no way he could stand at distance with Tszyu and outbox him, so he roughed him up. He rushed him and stayed on top of him the whole fight thus nullifing Tszyu's skills.
Would love to see Hatton and Zab Judah meet.Comment

Zab Judah would eat Ricky Hatton alive. The kid bullied Kosta last night and showed a lot of heart, but let's face it...if he tries to push his way inside without a jab, Super Judah will catch him over and over again. Hold him, push him, vice his arm and hit him with the other, but you can't beat Judah's speed and his pure athleticism.Originally posted by Freeze

Yea seriously, Judah is looking impressive as heck, but hes not doing it against anybody that good. And please dont try to tell me Cory Spinks is good because he is a feather puncher. Im not saying Hatton would beat Judah, but its sounding a lot like the Hatton-Zoo fight and we saw what happened now.
I admit I thought Zoo would win, but Hatton earned my respect last night.Comment

Tszyu got beat by a better fighter. TKO's arent by luck. I dont know where he goes from here. He refused to give Judah a rematch, and not Judah has gone on to bigger and better (possibly a bout w/ De La Hoya, Mosley, or even Mayorga). Tszyu should have taken that rematch when he had the chance, win, lose or draw he would have made money. Not now.Comment
