Fair enough. Maybe I give Moretti and Metcalf a pass on their cards. I'm willing to admit that depending on your angle/where you're sitting and what criteria you are using, you might be able to find 3 rounds for Canelo. Maybe I was a bit rash with my original statement on further review.

Would be interested to hear some thoughts on any fights people would like to see Mayweather make at this point? I'm sort of at a loss...I think we're at the stage where he's going to be stuck making unnatural catchweight bouts with guys who aren't really a matchup in terms of weight class....

Also, I wonder what Canelo's camp is thinking for his next move? Kid's only 23, so a lot of room to grow and get better.

I gave Floyd all 12 rounds. Could definitely see him getting r5 and 12. No way in hell did Canelo win 6 rounds though. Thankfully CJ Ross is done judging fights for a while.

Canelo is still young though, and it will be interesting to see where he goes from here now that he isn't facing scrubs anymore. I thought he lost the Trout fight too.

I would agree with that, but it's admittedly a minority opinion. Anyway, that fight was the first real step up in class for Canelo and after seeing that, my estimation of his chances to win against Floyd went way down.

I think the remainder of Floyd's Showtime contract is going to demonstrate how good of a fight promoter he/TMT/Golden Boy or anyone else involved can be. If he can keep excitement up for his fights for the remainder of his contract, it will be a tour de force of marketing savvy. I know we're in the "comedown" period after a big fight, but it's hard for me to envision making 3-4 more fights involving Floyd that people will be that interested to see.

It's official, this fight broke the all time money record for a PPV, and still has a chance to beat Mayweather/DLH in terms of total PPV buys.

Late to the game guys, but I gave it to Floyd 10 rounds to 2. Canelo looked physically impressive, stronger than I expected and fairly swift of hand, but Floyd neutralized him at every turn.

Now he wants Miley Cyrus as his ring escort. He's a character but he actually seems like a pretty cool guy.
