Excited by the number of fighters but it's getting to the point where I worry about roster bloat (especially for a small studio). I'd be happy with a smaller roster than managed to make every fighter feel like themselves than a UFC4 situation.

It shouldn’t be a big deal as even a small project team like this has specific roles.

And depending on how they are doing it, one skilled boxer can mimic many different styles and trademarks with ease.

Ah ok, the devs have said they're going out of their way to get the boxers themselves to do mo-cap but I'd be happy with a skilled mimic, I know that's what nba2K does.

I’ve worked in the boxing game.

I posted years ago that a huge boxing roster can be done with ease and at low cost. Almost every boxer would say yes to increasing their brand and being in a video game for free or a very small fee. But you can’t send an arrogant, unlikable, or not knowing the fight game group to make this call.

And the handful that don’t fit into that category can have things explained to them and a sales pitch that can bring their cost down.

And as far as mo cap the real guys or a mimic, if things keep opening up then there is a good chance they can get quite a few guys at the next few big fights as most would be eager to get their model done. Mimicking doesn’t bother me as pretty much any seasoned amateur and pro could nail almost any stance. A stable of 5 or so varied fighters could easily cover all the bases.
