Don't have a whole lot of special skills yet, I will look into that.

Re: Steelers NFL Head Coach 09 Dynasty

If u are the type that do use special skills then the qb and wr tree seems to help out alot, but don't forget the oline skills pertaining to pass block... This is just advice and u don't have to follow it...

Steelers lose heartbreaker to Buffalo

Game 6 @ Buffalo

Injuries

Pit
LB L. Woodley (should be back next week)
LB J. Harrison (2-3 weeks)

Buf
RT T. Wade (IR)
DT H. Thomas
DT M. Stroud
QB D. Culpepper

Notable Events

1st Quarter
Buf Score - T. Edwards with an 87 yard TD pass to L. Evans
C. Givens misses a 43 yard FG
The wind is a crosswind at 20mph, really throwing off the kicks and a lot of passes
Score 7-0 Bills

2nd Quarter
Buf Score - M. Lynch with a 19 yard TD run
Pit Score - C. Givens with a 50 yard FG
Buf Score - T. Edwards with a 74 yard TD pass to L. Evans (dammit)
c. Givens misses a 40 yard FG (bounces off uprights)
Buf Score - T. Edwards with a 23 yard TD pass to B. Jones
Pit score - C. Givens with a 47 yard FG with :11 left

Score at half 28-6 Bills
L. James fumbles the ball at the Buf 25. Pittsburg challenges the call and wins, still Pit Ball.

3rd Quarter
Pit Score - C. Givens with a 40 yard FG
The Bills go three and out. Seems the Steeler D has finally woken up (knock on wood)
Steelers go three and out. This wind is really affecting the game. Ben just hasn't become used to it
H. Ward fumbles the ball at the Buf 33. Pittsburg challenges and wins
Score 28-9 Bills

4th Quarter
Pit Score - H. Ward with an amazing 1-handed catch, a 6 yard TD
Buf Score - R. Lindell with a 46 yard FG
Big Ben fumbles the ball at the Buf 14 yard line with 3:59 left, Steelers down by 15
M. Lynch fumbles the ball, it's picked up by I. Taylor and taken to the 50 yard line. 2:07 left in game.
Pit Score - B. Roethlisberger with an 8 yard TD pass to H. Ward, 2 pt conversion failed. Steelers down by 9, 1:16 left in game
Onside kick failed

Final Score Bills 31, Steelers 22

The first half killed the game for the Steelers. Missing their 2 best pass rushers/lb's has really hurt the Steelers. The Steelers rallied in the 4th Quarter, but it wasn't enough. Ben seems to have most of his problems worked out (no ints, most dropped/missed passes seemed to be the fault of the 20mph wind), but the D is abysmal

Stat Leaders

Passing
Pit: B. Roethlisberger 27 of 40 for 422 yards, 2 TD, 0 int
Buf: T. Edwards 16 of 22 for 363 yards, 3 TD, 0 int

Rushing
Pit: L. James 11 att 50 yards (4.5 avg), 0 TD
Buf: M. Lynch 22 att, 83 yards (3.7 avg), 1 TD

Receiving
Pit: H. Ward 8 rec 138 yards, 2 TD
Buf: L. Evans 3 rec 163 yards, 2 TD

Defense
Pit: J. Johnson 8 tackles, 4 tfl, 1 sack, 0 int
Buf: A. Schobel 7 tackles, 3 tfl, 3 sacks, 0 int

Record is now 4-2

approval seemed to take a huge hit this week

released QB A. Brink so that I could sign DT Shaun Rogers to a 1 year contract worth 1 mil, no bonus or incentives.

Benched DE D. Cody in favor of Tony Bake

walked out of contract negotiations with RG R. Thomas. I can't see giving that kind of money to a 33 year old guard with a penchant for getting hurt. I may use Franchise Tag on him.

resigned CB I. Taylor to a 5 year contract worth 19.25 mil/7.5mil bonus/no incentives
S. Holmes walked out of contract negotiations because I wouldn't give him incentives.
LT E. Salaam walked out of contract negotiations. I actually really would like to resign him.
LB A. Moored walked out of contract negotiations
LB D. Garret walked out of contract negotiations
resigned LB C. Haggans to a 2 year contract worth 2.04 mil/1 mil bonus/incentives
resigned QB K. Kolb to a 3 year contract worth 9.92 mil/3.5 mil bonus/no incentives
resigned HB J. Buckingham to a 3 year contract worth 1.84 mil/ no bonus/ incentives

next game @ Cleveland
