OK, here is the deal with the dynasty right now. I wasn't sure whether I was going to keep going on this or not, so I went ahead and simmed the rest of the season to see how it might turn out. I accidentally saved it, and now we're at the end of the season. I am going to continue, but we now have to start at the 2009 offseason.

Jets finish 5-11, coach Daniels on the hot seat
Team MVP Kellen Clemens speaks on future in New York

FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY -- In the wake of yet another disastrous season in New York, first year head coach John Daniels is already reportedly on the hot seat. Daniels improved on the teams record from last year, by only one win however. "Coach Daniels is great," team MVP Kellen Clemens said on the matter "New York fans and media are very impatient. I think we definitely saw signs of life in this teams for the first time in years, and I think coach is pioneer for the Spread offense in the NFL."

When asked about his future as a Jet, Clemens said this "I don't know. Considering the season I had, I wouldn't think it would be easy to just let me go. I want to stay a Jet."

Clemens finished the season with 45 touchdown passes and 4752 yards passing. He finished third in Pro Bowl voting, just 10,000 votes behind perennial All-Stars Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

2008 first round pick Keith Rivers was named Defensive Rookie of the Year on Monday, with 119 tackles, 8 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 3 fumbles recovered and an interception on the season.

QB selected 13th by Jets

FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY -- The debate was fiery in the New York Jets draft room today. With the 13th overall selection in the 2009 draft, after trading down from the 10th overall selection, the Jets faced a major dilemma. Dane Morrow, who had been compared to Dan Marino by draft experts, or Kelly James, who had been compared to Jim Kelly. The superior prospect, Jack English, had been taken first overall by the Baltimore Ravens.

With little time left on the clock, the Jets sent in their card. The name inside the card was Dane Morrow, QB, Penn State. Kellen Clemens was getting the job done very nicely for the Jets, but they didn't feel that he should be a major part of their future. Coach John Daniels inherited the previous administration's future QB and unsurprisingly wanted his own guy.

New York Jets other draft picks:

2nd round: Alonzi Simms, MLB, Michigan St.
3rd round: Prince Justin, FS, S. Carolina
4th round: Steve Jones, LE, Maine
5th round: LeRon James, HB, N. Arizona
6th round: Derek Page, LG, Virginia
6th round: Sammy Roberts, RE, SE Missouri St.
6th round: Travis Redmond, LOLB, USC
7th round: Jaret Hester, CB, San Jose St.

Re: Jets Hire New Head Coach, John Daniels

Sad to see the season simmed but I'm interested to see how this season will unfold. Surprising to see a QB taken in the first round especially after the season Kellen had. I feel though that Morrow will certainly be a solid QB for years to come.

People want to know if Morrow will be the starter or if he's going to sit...haha!

I have a feeling that James is going to turn into a beast!!!
