I think I got two QB ones, one one that helps RBs run better and one that helps WRs catch the ball

Why did you pick the default playbooks? They are pretty bad if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, they are, I wanted to make it as tough as possible for me to re-build them.

This FA is really bad, unless you need secondary help (or Oline, sort of).

Re: A New Era-The Coaching Career of Clarke Ainsley

Raiders Live

Paul Daniels: Hello, and welcome to another great edition of Raiders Live! We have a great show today. Coming up, the free agent market opens up tomorrow, and we are joined by NFL Network insider Adam Schefter is here to discuss the Raiders plans. Hello Adam!

Adam Schefter: Hey Paul, nice to be here.

Paul Daniels: So Adam, on every Raiders fans mind right now is free agency. What can we expect for the Raiders in terms of free agent signings?

Adam Schefter: Well, Paul, I think the Raiders got most of their free agency work done when they tagged Nnamdi Asomugha to keep him in Oakland. As you know, they are a rebuilding team, and new head coach Clarke Ainsley seems like he wants to rebuild the proper way, through the NFL draft. I know Raiders fans are gonna hate this, but don't expect them to be too involved in free agency. I could see them signing a wide receiver to help Jamarcus Russell, or another offensive or defensive lineman, but they will probably not be going for the big fish.

They do have about twenty-two million dollars in salary cap room, but remember, they do have the fourth overall pick in the draft, meaning they will have to dish out a lot of money to whoever they draft. Besides, the Raiders will most likely have a top ten pick in next year's draft. If they sign a free agent, they could be in cap trouble for the next while.

Paul Daniels: Now, about Asmougha, they were talks that he wasn't happy about being tagged. Do you think he will be moved?

Adam Schefter: Not at the moment. Right now the Raiders feel that the situation isn't bad enough to move him and that he isn't worth giving up for the talent he has. However, if this gets worse and Asomugha is still unhappy come training camp, it could get ugly.

Paul Daniels: You mentioned that the Raiders could sign a smaller free agent of two. Who do you think they may be looking at?

Adam Schefter: I think their biggest need is a big defensive tackle. Now, there's not really a lot of good ones avalible. The only good one I think the Raiders may be interested in Rod Coleman. He can plug up the middle and play the new 3-4 style that they will be implementing next season.

Also, they could be making a move on a wide receiver for young quarterback Jamarcus Russell. It looks like maybe Donte Stallowrth could be a guy they may be interested in. A speedy wide receiver, he is an Al Davis type of guy. Other than that, I don't really know if they could be in the mix for any other wide receiver. And, don't be surprised if they sign an offensive lineman like Stacy Andrews or Zack Piller.

Paul Daniels: Moving onto the draft, the Raiders have the fourth overall pick in the draft. Who do you think they could be looking at?

Adam Schefter: It's really up in the air. There's no clear-cut number one overall pick. Now, they're hoping that left tackle Jake Long will fall to them, which actually may happen if they get past the Miami Dolphins at number one. If he's not there, they make be looking at a pass rusher like Chris Long or Vernon Gholston or maybe Keith Rivers even. The Raiders have a lot of holes, so it'll be interested to see where they go with this pick.

Paul Daniels: Thank you Adam, it's always a pleasure.

We'll take a break, and we'll be back. This is RAIDERS LIVE.
