Wow, terrible loss, what's worse is that I can sense the injury plague coming, good luck dude, you'll need it.

Re: The Career of S Kampfer

Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte NC) The Panthers almost squandered a 24-3 lead, but held on for a 44-31 vicotry against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs. Coach Kampfer is very frustrated with his training staff as the players seem to "run out of steam" during the 2nd half.

The defense completely shut down the Chiefs offense during the first half as they forced 3 turnovers. But the 3rd Quarter was the complete opposite. However, the team was able to slow the Chiefs down enough during the 4th Quarter to hold on for the win.

QB Moore was named NFC Offensive Player of the week. FB Hoover was lost for 1-3 weeks due to a seperated shoulder.

The Panthers travel to Tampa Bay next week to take on the Buccaneers in a game of Division leading teams.

Thanks, that loss was one of the worst collapses I have ever seen. I think my trainer has ALOT to do with it. I hope I can keep a team pieced together to at least make it through the season.

Re: The Career of S Kampfer

Interesting decision I need to make...I know Moore is going to want a new contract...so do I sign him since he isnt doing THAT bad...or do I try to draft a new one? I dont have alot of draft picks (no 1st round or 3rd) so do I try to fix my other more pressing needs...like o-line gaps!!

Oh...I have the Jones draft path so I know Kain and Wyoming are in this draft coming up. But I dont think I can get high enough to get any of the really good QBs in this draft.

Re: The Career of S Kampfer

If Matt Moore doesn't want a crazy contract then I say sign him, but if he does then I would shop for another one at least a stop gap replacment until u can get a great QB...

It all happens to us, u win some and u lose some... Wait until u have a 35-0 lead at halftime then all of o sudden u are losing in overtime to a team 38-35, especialy when that team is the Lions...

Re: The Career of S Kampfer

I agree with you Edward. Oh...since it is MLK day I have the day off...but Moore wants 21.5 for 6 yrs and a 4 mill bonus. This isnt as bad as I was expecting so I may go ahead and try to sign him. He is doing fairly well for me all things considered.

Re: The Career of S Kampfer

Well...I have just about had it with the injuries on this team and the crap trainer!! After 2 days of practice I had 9 of my starting D either Questionable or Probable or Out. So I decided to just Sim the games to get out of this season and not throw my controller at the tv!!

I am signing players, but have to cancel most practices to field a team on game day. I will give you the scores and who I sign and try to get to the off-season as fast as possible!!

Wk 6: @ TB Loss, 20-17
Wk 7: Saints Loss, 38-24
Wk 8: Cardinals, Win, 17-16
Wk 9: Bye

Players Re-signed

FB Moore: 4.16 mil/6 yrs, 500k bonus
QB Garrett: 600k/2 yrs
RG Noll: 11.52 mil/4 yrs, 2.5 mil bonus
LT Gross: 35.96 mil/6 yrs, 6 mil bonus
RE Peppers: 23.2 mil/4 yrs, 4 mil bonus
DT Moore: 1.78 mil/2 yrs, 500k bonus
K Serna: 4.25 mil/3 yrs, 500k bonus
CB Minor: 1.0 mil/2 yrs, no bonus

All contracts were signed with no incentives. The only player I want to sign who has not yet is QB Moore, so we will see.

I will add the rest of the season as soon as I am completed.
