Controversy in Denver (HC 09)

Breaking News

After 13 years with the Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan was let go after a 7-9 season. Coach Shanahan had brought denver to the superbowl twice in 1997 and 1998 with the help of John Elway and Tyrell Davis. When asked Jason Elam had this to say "He’s a tremendous coach. I respect him a lot. He’s done a lot for that city and that organization. I was very surprised. I think most people were and think that the problems weren't due to the coaching.”

Just a few days after the firing of Mike Shanahan, the Denver Broncos hire a coach who hasn't even coached one game in his life except varsity tennis in his senior year in his school. But now players are to refer to him as coach Beningo. When asked on his coaching experince of lack of coach Beningo had this to say "It has always been my deam to coach football and i thank the Dener Broncos for giving me that chance." Jay Cutler just had this to say "I'm out of here before Training Camp because I don't feel like we can win with a tennis coach."

Re: Controversy in Denver (HC 09)

When asked on what style of offence and defence he was going to run coach Beningo had this to say "I am going to keep the offence the same it seem to work for the running backs and the Quaterbacks could use some work. On Defence we are Switching to a 3-4 blitz stand point i felt as a Broncos fan that is where our promblems lay in not getting to the opposing Quaterbacks."

Well sports fans it's that time of year again the FAs and franchise tags are here. First year coach Beningo tag Kicker Jason Elam. He had this to say about Cutler "If anyone doesn't want to be here i will gladly trade you, I want players who want to win a championship no matter who is at the helm." Just Shortly after the FAs began the Denver Broncos sign Nnamdi Asomugha to a 41M/5yr deal, Lance Briggs to a 51M/5yr deal, and Tyrell Suggs to a 24M/4yr deal.

Breaking news

Kicker Jason Elam who was just Franchised Taged was traded to the New York Gaints for a 2009 3rd round pick (95th overall) and a 2009 6th round pick (188th overall).
The coach had this to say "I thank Elam for everything he has done for this franchise and i wish him best of luck on the rest of his career." A few days later Denver signed kicker Matt Prater to a 900K/1yr deal.
