Re: Let's Circle the Wagons: A Buffalo Bills Dynasty

2009 English Draft-Day 2

3-68-Bills-Drafted TE Drew Goldman-The TE I drafted last year has proved to be a disappointment, I hope for better results with Goldman.

3-78-Bills-Drafted RG Patrick Boma-Met RG goal

3-80-Bills-Traded to Patriots for 4 (100) and 4 (125)

3-81-Bills-Drafted HB Leron James. My current RB is a good running back, but James has the good catching skills I need for my offense.

3-84-Bills-Drafted C-Northwestern

3-95-Bills-Drafted DT Patrick Lopez-I needed a DT after the trade of Stroud, and Lopez fits the bill.

4-100-Bills-I drafted FS Prince Justin. I thought about the other FS, but Justin should be easier to re-sign.

4-107-Bengals-They drafted LOLB Dexter Knox.

4-108-Bills-I drafted ROLB-Buffalso. I drafted him for the sole purpose of having a quality OLB when Mayo is injured.

4-118-Bills-QB Jake Scott-He's got a 91 potential under the Mobile philosophy, and will be the quality backup I need at QB.

4-125-Bills-RG-Auburn. It'll be a long time until he reaches his potential, but he's potentially a very good offensive linemen. I'll move him to LG, though.

4-126-Bills-I need another TE, so I drafted TE-Delaware State.

5-145-Bills-Drafted WR-UNLV

6-172-Bills-Drafted LE-UNLV.He may be the starting RE I need, at least for now.

7-206-Bills-Drafted HB-Richmond-A quality 3rd RB.

7-209-Bills-Drafted LE-Mountain Valley-Another backup DE.

Undrafted:

WR Jamarion Bellows-I hope I can get him signed to a good 6 year deal.
QB-Ga. Southern
WR-Rutgers
MLB-VMI
CB-St. Johns

Overall, a good draft. I have the makings of a good roster, it just needs to come together.

Re: Let's Circle the Wagons: A Buffalo Bills Dynasty

Training Camp:

I woon't mention the contracts of the RFAs, only the 1st and 2nd rounders. All contracts are with no incentives:

1. Signed CB Juran Riley to 5 year, 9.5 million dollar contract, 2 million signing bonus. It goes 1.6 million-1.8-1.9-2.0-2.2 million.

2. Signed SS Will Barkley to 5 year, 19.6 million dollar contract, 3.5 million SB. It goes 3.3 million-3.6-3.9-4.2-4.6 million.

3. Signed ROLB Devin Mayo to 5 year, 18.9 million dollar contract, 3.5 million SB. It goes 3.1 million-3.4-3.7-4.0-4.3 million.

After I had signed all my picks, I received the following Season Goals from my owner:

Trade ROLB Terrel Suggs
Trade WR Kevin Robinson
Get Keith Rivers Play Knowledge to 33%
Get Juran Riley's Play Knowledge to 25%
Get Patrick Lopez's Play Knowledge to 25%
Add 10 new Plays-forget that one
Don't Draft a Bust

Trades:

I made the following trades to clear up some roster space:

1. Traded ROLB Terrel Suggs to the Jaguars for their 2010 3rd, and 2011 4th-met goal.

2. Traded WR Kevin Robinson to the Cowboys for their 2011 5th and 2011 7th-met goal.

3. Traded RE Tony Bake to the Bears for their 2010 2nd and 2011 7th.

4. Traded C Samson Satele to the Raiders for their 2011 2nd and 7th.

Additional Season Goals:

Play Keith Rivers 50 downs.
Play Juran Riley 50 downs.
Play Patrick Lopez 50 downs.

I'm just before the 1st preseason game, so I'll supersim the game until I get all starters to Learned status with the playbooks.

Re: Let's Circle the Wagons: A Buffalo Bills Dynasty

I finally got the players Learned, so I started the games. I was in a hurry to get to the regular season, so I supersimmed all 4 preseason games.

Preseason game 1-Bills beat 49ers 27-13

Keith Rivers sprained his MCL and missed the rest of the preseason games-so I failed his 50 downs goal.

In an interesting note, Falcons player Marcus Stroud tore his triceps and was placed on IR.

Preseason Game 2-Bills beat Raiders 42-7

Okoye had 5 sacks, Lopez 2 sacks, and Riley had 2 INTs. Lynch also had 113 receiving yards.

I traded RG Roy Schuening to the Raiders for their 2011 3rd. They later cut him, and I was able to sign him back.

Preseason Game 3-Bills 38, Bengals 10

Jake Scott had 3 TDs

Preseason Game 4-Bills 30, Bengals 24

Johnson 2 TDs, Figgins 104 receiving yards, Okoye 2 sacks

Preseason Promise-Make it to Playoffs-A bold prediction since I only won 6 games last year, but I should have the roster talent and coaching staff to do it

Season Goals:

Win 3 out of the first 4 games-possible

Beat Falcons in Week 10

Beat Dolphins in Week 14

Re-sign Lee Evans-He's down to a 88 potential, and I'm on a very talented path for WRs. I'll probably let him enter FA.

Re-sign K Rob Bironas-He's a very skilled kicker, but there's a very talented kicker coming out of the draft this year. Kickers take a long time to develop, though.

Win Defensive Rookie of the Year

Win Offensive Rookie of the Year

Hire a College Coach

Bring Clancy Pendegrast back as DC

Bring Russ Grimm back as OC

I'll be looking to post my roster next.

P1-Shane Lechler-93/93-1.9 million-4.0 million-0-2

A couple of notes on my depth chart. You can sign players to better deals if you keep their overall down, so i'm keeping Bellows 4th on the depth chart for now. I cut Terrence Mcgee because he was about 4-5 million on cap, and i signed him to a 1 year deal. There was a steep price to pay to get Gil Darnell as GM, I had to surrender a lot of control over roster minimums. It's the reason I carry 5 OLBs and 4 MLBs.

Re: Let's Circle the Wagons: A Buffalo Bills Dynasty

I had a 28-7 lead in my first regular season game vs. the Jets when all of a sudden, the power switch on the PS3 went from green to red, turning off the power and ending my game. I'll give it another try tonight.

Re: Let's Circle the Wagons: A Buffalo Bills Dynasty

My PS3 will now automatically turn off the power every time I turn the power on, so this dynasty is probably dead for now. I'll need to buy a new PS3 and/or see if my old one can be repaired.

Yeah, it does. i think I have the YLOD. I may see if I can buy a new slim, get the old PS3 repaired, and transfer all data from the old one to the new one.
