Re: The Coaching Career of Ron Zeiglermuffin (NFL Head Coach 09)

Training Camp and Preseason:
Singed RT Jeremy Lincoln to a 5 year, 11.62 million dollar deal with a 2 million bonus.
QB Appling - 1.72 mil, 3 years
FB Kurland - 1.01 mil, 3 years
MLB Carrier - 690K, 3 years
QB Curtis - 690K, 3 years
TE Philips - 870K, 2 years
DT Mackey - 860K, 3 years
LG Wyatt - 860K, 2 years
WR Ford - 800K, 3 Years

1st game at New York Jets: Won 24-17
Appling lead a good comeback, throwing 2 TDs in the 4th quarter. We had 5 sacks and 2 picks against the Hammermill coached Jets.

2nd game Vs. Tampa Bay: Lost 34-16
Payback I guess. We threw 3 INTs and if you do that, you probably lost. Appling came back with a 95 potential, but has a 82 durability. Dansby tore his quad, out 7-9 months. IRed. Signed DiGiorgio as depth. Moved rookie Carrier to ROLB.

Week 3 @ New York Giants: Lost 24-10
Another good rushing day, but bad passing day. Appling did admirably, and has pretty much locked up the starting gig. They did much better through the air.

Week 4 Vs. San Fransisco: Lost 35-21
Johnson threw 5 picks. He is not going to start. On a good note, Lynch and Rice both had averages of 5+.

PreSeason Promise: Win the Super Bowl. They expect me to go below .500. After I went to the Super Bowl? Guess it's the curse. Positional previews next.

Re: The Coaching Career of Ron Zeiglermuffin (NFL Head Coach 09)

Positional Breakdowns:

QB: Probably our weakest position to start (Besides WRs), but we don't pass a lot. Appling (71/95) will start the season, with Johnson (67/92) coming in on option plays.

HB: One of our stronger positions. Lynch (91/92) looks to build on his incredible season. Rice (82/90) will spell him, and Omon (66/91) might get some touches. This is where we live and die, with our halfbacks.

FB: Leaning towards Kurland to start, and both him and Stewart will get plenty of time, seeing as I operate mainly out of the Maryland-I. No concerns here.

WR: Seeing as I don't use them much, there isn't a lot to be said. The guys will produce, and we will probably run some 5-wide this year.

TE: Newly acquired Daniel Graham (84/85) will be good on blocking formations, and McKenzie is an effective pass catcher.

T: Peters (93) anchors the line, but is going to want a new deal. I will likely Franchise and trade him to get Mr. Awsome, Enoka Oshinowo. Lincoln (89/94) is a monster at right tackle, and will block very effectively. Langston Walker (87) will back-up both Tackle positions.

G: Bruiser Derrick Dockery (84) is a great Run-Blocker, and athletic Ben Noll (87) fill out the position well. Walker is also the backup for the guard spots.

C: Smallish but effective 2nd year player Grant Jones (84/88) should do fine in the snapping spot. Surrency (77/80) is a very good back-up if needed.

E: Campbell (88/89) is a beast on the Left side, causing havoc. Aaron Schobel (86) should also play effectively. Back-ups will be Kelsay (80) and Bake (77/83).

DT: Strongest position on the team. Haynesworth (94) is the best player on the team, and Moore (90/92) is also very good. Stroud is at #3 because of his injury troubles, but will shift over to RE or LE on obvious running plays, or anytime I need a mismatch.

OLB: Briggs (91/92) will have to repeat his fantastic play this year, because Dansby is out for the whole season, and likely won't be back until the draft rolls around. Rookie Carrier (77/83) will hopefully provide ma good replacement.

MLB: Gino King (84/90) can hopefully play like Ray because he was compared to Ray. This is his first year starting. Posluszny (80/86) might switch to OLB if Carrier doesn't play well.

CB: Not a lot of experience, but lots of potential. Waddell (85/92) is obviously the #1, and Charles (80/87) and Farr (79/86) will play well.

S: Simpson (76/81) as I have said before, is rated low but plays high. Whitner (84/86) (and Simpson) were pro Bowlers last year and should be effective once more. Flowers (81/85) should back up both positions well.

K/P/KR/PR/LS: Serna (97 KPW, 86/90 KAC) should be even better this year. Moorman (94 KPW, 92 KAC) is one of the best in the business. Waddel should be effective at both return spots. Jones will long snap.

Re: The Coaching Career of Ron Zeiglermuffin (NFL Head Coach 09)

Coaching and Draft Updates:
DC: Performance Level 4
RBC: Running Back Discipline
WRC: Receiver Discipline
DBC: Performance Level 4
GM: Big School Insider (Oshinowo FTW!)

The Offensive side of the draft is incredibly strong, with every position earning at least 4 stars. Unfortunately, the defensive side is horrible, with every position having 2 or fewer stars, save for the linebackers, who have 5.

Week 1 @ Pittsburgh is next!

Re: The Coaching Career of Ron Zeiglermuffin (NFL Head Coach 09)

Week 1 @ Pittsburgh: Lost 24-41

Raining hard, with a 20 MPH wind.

Tough to swallow. Appling did great in his debut, but he couldn't get it done. The turnovers killed us. While we only had 2, they came at crucial times, especially the pick Appling threw when we were driving in the 4th. Ah, well.

I am going to start posting box scores as well as recaps like this one, as I want the dynasty to be "cleaner".

Re: The Coaching Career of Ron Zeiglermuffin (NFL Head Coach 09)

Week 2 versus Detroit:

Preview:
Marinelli is still their HC (37), I guess they want to test him some more.
QB: Edwards (86) - I forgot I traded him to them.
HB: Ricky Williams (77), Douglas (73) #3
FB: Krieder (83)
WR: Williams (90), Johnson (88), Jackson (82)
TE: David Thomas (71)
LT: Backus (86)
LG: Kevin Boothe (80)
C: Kalil (82)
RG: Fordham (91)
RT: Jonathan Scott (86)
LE: Footman (83)
RE: Dewayne White (76)
DT: Patterson (75), Redding (75)
LOLB: Washington (82)
MLB: Stockton (85)
ROLB: Sims (85)
CB: Bodden (88), Cason (81), Syvelle Simpson (81)
FS: Alexander (77)
SS: Kennedy (80)
K: Hall (88)
P: Walker (75)

They have a solid team, but I should be able to run pretty well on them, unless Stockton does amazing. Their passing offense is going to be ridiculously hard to stop I'm guessing, so we'll see how it goes.

Injuries:
Stroud (1 Week)
Haynesworth (1 Week)

Resignings, cuts, trades and FA pickups:
Cut LG Tutan Reyes (74)
Signed rookie DT Johnnie Chapman (75/86 for depth. Good pickup. Will stay #4 though.

Re: The Coaching Career of Ron Zeiglermuffin (NFL Head Coach 09)

I use the dynasty table generators to print my boxscores. Just go to the Dynasty tab, click on the dynasty table generators, and follow the directions. It take some time and effort though. I have to print out 4 pages for the boxscore, fill out the information on the boxscore, and then input the information on the generators. I think it's worth it though.

Re: The Coaching Career of Ron Zeiglermuffin (NFL Head Coach 09)

Raining hard again, but with less wind. BTW, the Lions unis are awesome in this game.

Hmmmmmm...........

I was up 30-17 in the 4th at the 2 minute warning, and it decides to stop working on me. Maybe to many things going on at once?

Anyway..... I decided to sim the game, and won 27-7. Lynch (19-138-0) and Rice (18-83-1) both went off, and Appling threw 2 TDs along with 1 pick. 4 players had a sack, and we had 1 pick.

Next week: @ Miami.
