      Re: Welcome to the Jungle

So after setting my philosophies it's time to look at the roster.

QB: We are set at QB with Palmer, he has the arm and accuracy I'm looking for as well as great learning ability so he should be able to pick up the playbook quickly. Jeff Rowe is the only other QB still under contract and although he has a good arm his accuracy and learning leave a lot to be desired.HB: Erm....huge area of need here. Rudi Johnson was the starter but could find himself out on the street due to the need for my HB to catch the ball. kenny Watson has decent hands but definite area of need.FB: Jeremi Johnson is a big bowling ball, too band he has sieves for hands. Definite area of upgrade.

WR: Chad Johnson and TJ should hold down the fort this year while I bring through a couple of rookies to take over next year as the 2nd and slot guys.TE: Not expecting the TE position to be one I have to focus on but right now there is nothing in the cupboard bar 2 warm bodiesLT: Levi Jones is a cheap capable starter but if I am throwing the ball as much as I think I will I may need to look elsewhere.
LG: Stacy Andrews is out of contract and likely to be on the receiving end of a Franchise Tag. Andrew Whitworth can provide a useful backup.
C: Eric Ghiaciuc is the current starter but another hole to fill

RG: Scott Kooistra can be a useful backup but he isn't good enough to start. I have a plan to improve 3 positions on my OLine in 1 go if I can pull it off in the draft.

RT: Willie Anderson is a stalwalt but he is getting old, need to try and get younger.

LE: Robert Geathers can be a backup at either end but he isn't quite what I'm looking for when I'm only going to have 4 men rushing the passer.

RE: No one on the roster

DT: OH MY GOD! Even when I did a Falcons franchise was the cupboard not this bear. Another major need...moving on.

      LOLB: Moving on...

MLB: Ahmad Brooks probably would be ok if he could stay on the field

      ROLB: Moving on...

CB: Jonathan Joesph will make a decent number 2/borderline number 1 CB but Leon Hall is more suited to man coverage

FS: Marvin White will definitely need to work on his coverage skills in order to thrive

SS: Nedu Ndukwe is the current starter but may find himself at CB after the draft.

      K: Shayne Graham is fine

      P: Need to draft one

      Returner: Struggling

      TEAM NEEDS:
      1 - RE1
      2 - ROLB1
      3 - TE1
      4 - RG1
      5 - LE1
      6 - MLB1
      7 - DT1
      8 - LG1
      9 - P
      10 - C1

          Draft Pick Ideas

          Rd 1 - pick numbers 9
I would really like eithe McFadden of Keith Rivers to fall to here. Glenn Dorsey or Sedrick Ellis would improve my DLine straight away while I may also look at Ryan Clady. This would allow me to move Anderson to RG and Levi Jones to RT
          Rd 2 - pick numbers 46 & 54
Going to have to go WR and RE here with DeSean Jackson and Calais Campbell my targets
          Rd 3 - pick numbers 77
Am thinking Dre Moore here if I dont take Ellis or Dorsey. If I do take one of them then I may try for Craig Steltz however with the signing of Asomougha, I may not need to move Ndukwe to CB. If that is the case, then I may look at Early Doucet or Mario Manningham
          Rd 4 - pick numbers 109
QB backup here I think as Johnson should still be around
          Rd 5 - pick numbers 140 & 152
Filling in the holes, David Hale who can play well at C, Anthya Rubin to help in the middle
          Rd 6 - pick numbers 171
          Will see what is about.

          DRAFT
Round 1, pick 9 - Well I really wasn't expecting this, Ellis, Clady, Rivers and McFadden were available and crying out to be picked. I honestly didn't know who to pick almost to the point that I looked at trading the pick away. Right now I'm still not sure I made the right pick, but the chance to improve my defense with a big time playmaker was too much to pass up
PICK - KEITH RIVERS OLB USC

Round 2, pick 46 - Well this was a no brainer, both myself and my GM agreed on the pick
PICK - CALAIS CAMPBELL DE Miami

Round 2, pick 54 - I really wanted to move this pick and thought about sending it to the Pats in exchange for a 3rd and 5th but decide to go with my board.
PICK - DeSean JACKSON WR California

Round 3, pick 77 - With Early Doucet off the board, I decided to improve my DLine
PICK - DRE MOORE DT Maryland

Round 4, pick 109 - Restocking my WR corps after sending TJ away was needed, so bringing in this guy as my slot receiver made sense
PICK - MARIO MANNINGHAM WR Michigan

Round 5, pick 140 - Well I had hoped that either David Hale or Josh Johnson would have been around here but neither were so took another piece for my DLine
PICK - ANTHYA RUBIN DT Iowa State

Round 5, pick 152 - Realising I needed some QB backup, I went for Woodson
PICK - ANDRE WOODSON QB Kentucky

Round 6, pick 171 - Last pick and picked up a guy who normally goes undrafted
PICK - TONY BAKE DE TCU

          UDFA
          FB Carl Stewart Auburn
          TE Mike Peterson
          ROLB David Vobora
          FS Josh Barret
          Some random punter
