2008 Season-Game 13-Bears 30, Jaguars 9

I've find that even if Johnson doesn't have a good day passing, running and special teams usually is enough to carry the day. That happened in the Jaguars game where Johnson only had 100 yards passing, but it was enough to win the game.

CU-HC-Lrn Dev DB 2, OC-Playcall 3, WRC-Receiver Discipline.

NFL notes:

The Redskins have made RT Jeff Otah the starter over Pro Bowl RT Jon Jansen. Just a note, Jansen has 36 pancakes on the year.

Matt Ryan is now the starting QB for Atlanta-hope he stays healthy.

2008 Season-Game 14-Bears 19, Saints 14

The best game of the year so far-bar none. I just about bit my arm off every time I saw Josh Johnson throw a INT to a Saint in the end zone. 1 time is Ok, but Four! Arggh! One thing that worked in my favor was the Saints playbook-it has no deep passes in it, or seemingly not. They were always getting into 2nd and 13, 3rd and 15, but had no plays to convert that 1st down. All they needed was 1 more TD, but could not find it.

CU-HC-Phys Dev OL 2, DC-Int Dev DL 3.

Injury-RG Roy Schuening(2nd time)-triceps strain- 1-4 weeks.

2008 Season-Game 15-Bears 31, Packers 7

Another good game by the Packers, as their defense only allowed 17 points. The 2 defensive TDs they gave up to Steltz and Tillman were enough to win the game, as their offense couldn't overcome the miscues.

CU-HC-Phys Dev RB 2, QBC-Lrn Dev QB 4, RBC-Phys Dev RB 4, LBC-Phys Dev LB 3, GM-Pot Eval WR 2.

Re: Change in Chicago-The Coaching Career of Michael Smith

2008 Season-Game 16-Bears 41, Texans 18

First off-my terrible trainer may have just ruined my playoff chances. I lost my Pro Bowl LT Joe Staley to a pulled hamstring, and he'll be gone 3-7 weeks-maybe the entire playoffs. That's not good news especially since I'll have to go up against both the Eagles and Giants.

Now the game-I was impressed with Texans P Durant Brooks. Two punts inside the 5, and both ended up as safeties. 6 sacks by Campbell definitely helped contain the Texans offense, but I felt they gave a good effort.

Injury-LT Joe Staley-pulled hamstring-3-7 weeks-most likely gone for playoffs.

Final 2008 Standings

No team went undefeated, but the Ravens went winless. I'm amazed the Ravens couldn't win a game with that defense. The East was Beast in the NFC, as 3 playoff teams came from that division. In the AFC, 10-6 wasn't good enough for the Titans and Bills to earn a playoff berth. Playoff teams have asterisks next to them.

2008 Final Team Statistics

No matter the Performance level, Calais Campbell is great at LE with Jim Johnson Blitz. Johnson just missed 4000 pass yards, but the INTs were a issue. Drops were also a issue, as Earl Bennett oupaced all others with 16 drops. The running game was in full force with the combined effort of Rice and Johnson getting 2000 yards.
