Re: The Coaching Career of Robert Smith

2009 Season-Game 14-Texans 20, Cardinals 17

Another big win over a sub-.500 team, but this one came with a price-we've lost McFadden for the rest of the season. The Cardinals offense was very strong in the 1st half-I feel the play of the game was to limit the Cardinals to a FG near the end of the half. Our defense played well the rest of the game, and we emerged with another narrow victory.

CU-HC-Gameplan Analysis, OC-Int Dev OL 3, DC-Phys Dev DB 3, RBC-Int Dev RB 4, DLC-Game Film Analysis.

Injury-HB Darren McFadden-ruptured speen-3 months. Potential dropped to 95 after the injury.

Re: The Coaching Career of Robert Smith

2009 Season-Game 15-Broncos 35, Texans 33

First-Brandon Marshall. The Broncos have got themselves in a bad cap situation, and won't be able to sign Marshall inseason. Some examples of the contracts that have led to this:

TE Daniel Graham-77-29-5.4 million-3 years
HB Shaun Alexander-83-32-5.1 million-3 years
CB Dre Bly-80-32-4.7 million-3 years
LE Ryan Denney-77-32-4.6 million-1 year
HB Selvin Young-83-25-3.8 million-5 years
TE Alge Crumpler-81-29-3.8 million-4 years
RE Chris Canty-77-25-3.7 million-4 years

They may be able to franchise him later, but only by cutting players like Jake Scott and Tauscher

Now the game-we came up a little short on the comeback. Too many times we settled for FGs instead of getting TDs, and I think that 80 yd run in the 3rd really hurt us. It will all come down to the Tennessee game-the team that wins it earns a wild card, the other team will miss the playoffs

Re: The Coaching Career of Robert Smith

2009 Season-Game 16-Titans 35, Texans 23

And just like that, the season's over. I thought I could manage another comeback down 28-23, but then Marcus Griffin returned a INT for a TD to bring that hope to a end. We played well, but the fumbles and INTs hurt us in this game. A good season, I feel we'll take a big step forward next year.

Sliders-I feel I'm using a good set to make the games competitive, but I'll need to upgrade defense next. Run sliders are too high-I'll reduce things from 99.Otherwise, I'll be using this set next year.

2009 Team Stats

I'll definitely look to make a change at QB after this season, Woodson just isn't getting it done. We're also getting a fair amount of drops, everyone in the AFC South knows how to hit. I am worried seeing a drop in sacks from Campbell, but maybe they were spread around.

Trainer-Dolphins-Ian Baker, 49ers-David Hibler

My coaching moves:

After this, my coaching staff will probably be set unless I get rid of the trainers or someone retires. I fired GM Riley Smithe, STC Chris Staymates. LBC Mike Katkavage, and Trainer Ian Baker.Riley Smithe did retire, the others found jobs. I hired the following coaches:

GM-Bob Corsetti-67-Ambassador.Only concern is his coach picture does look old, he may retire on me. Trade and Contract Negotiation 5/5, all skills go to 5, most are at 3 or 4. Special Skills-Accomodation and Major School Insider.

STC Jim Mora-30-Optimist. No doubt about it, I got lucky here. High ceiling in the regular skills, most development to 3 or 4, most are at 2 now though. No special skills.

LBC Tedy Bruschi-39-Loyalist. All regular skills 1/2 except Performance, it's 3/5. All dev 4/5, no special skills.

Trainer Roger Rodriques-39-Ambassador. Well, he does have a good personality. Injury Evaluation and Fatigue Recovery 2/3, Rehab 2/4.Special Skills-Offseason Rehab and Cardio Training Program.
