Re: The Coaching Career of Michael Smith

2008 Season-Game 16-Texans 23, Bears 17

A very tough game by the Bears, especially inside the red zone. I needed both of those TDs in this game, and once again I counted on a late pick to help preserve a narrow lead.

I was very disappointed and somewhat mystified by the coaching move the Bears made in the offseason. Lovie retired and instead of going after Hammermill, they promote Babich who simply isn't very good. A big mistake, hope they can fix HC for the Bears in the future.

Re: The Coaching Career of Michael Smith

2008 Houston Texans Coaching Moves

I kept the GM because he had Accomodation and it's a big deal to have Accomodation when you look to hire new coaches. I kept the STC because I felt there was no one better, and you get -10 approval if you fire all coaches. I fired everyone else-the trainer retired and most of the rest found other jobs.

New coaches:

OC Brian Schottenheimer-Analyst-38-TC 4/4, PC 4/5, Str 3/5, Perf 2/4. All dev to at least 3. SS-Ambition, Speed Training, Strength training, Game Film Analysis.

DC Greg Blache-Traditionalist-45-TC 4/5, PC 5/5, Str 3/4, Perf 3/4. All dev to 4 except Phys Dev DB.SS-Speed Training

QBC Tom Clements-Guru-79-TC 3/4, PC 4/4, Str 4/5, Perf 3/4. All dev to 4 or 5. SS-QB Readiness.

RBC Lorenzo Westbrook-Anchor-40-TC 1/2, PC 1/2, Str 1/1, Perf 3/4. Phys Dev 4/5, Int Dev 3/4, Lrn Dev 2/3. SS-Improved Carrying.

WRC Brent McDaniel-Guru-26-TC 2/4, PC 1/3, Str 2/2, Perf 1/4. Most dev to 4 or 5. SS-none.

OLC Tim Cobble-Analyst-35-TC 3/4, PC 1/3, Str 3/4, PC 2/4. All dev to 4 at least. SS-none.

LBC Jim Herrmann-49-Captain-TC 2/3, PC 3/5, Str 5/5, Perf 1/4. All dev to 4 at least. SS-none.

DLC Tim Spangler-Captain-23-TC 3/5, PC 2/3, Str 1/3, Perf 2/4. All dev to at least 4. No SS.

DBC Dan White-Ally-17-TC 2/5, PC 2/4, Str 1/3, Perf 3/5. Lrn Dev 3/4, others 1/3. No SS.

Trainer Arron Lee-Ambassador-99-Top 2 5/5, Fat Rec 4/5. No SS.
