Bulls Look Strong Entering Year 3, New Pieces, Dumars Injured

Joe Dumars is still injured for 8-10 weeks of this, the third year of the association mode. Dumars' need for recovery hasn't seemed to phase the Bulls who started off the third year with win over Orlando and Cleveland. During the off-season, we picked up some new pieces through trades in the draft to bring in Tyrus Thomas and rookie Lee Lawrence. We also nabbed Shawn Marion out of free agency (I didn't do it, the CPU did, haha). We also picked up some draft picks for the draft this year. The Bulls will take on Milwaukee tonight. Here is their starting lineup:

PG- Derrick Rose
SG- Shabazz Muhammad
SF- Evan Turner
PF- Cody Zeller
C- Joakim Noah
6- Tyrus Thomas
7- Kendrick Perkins
8- Shawn Marion
9- Jan Vesely
10- Elijah Johnson
11- Lee Lawrence
OUT- Joe Dumars

Quick analysis of the Bucks and Pistons. Milwaukee has brought in another key piece to go with Dominique Wilkins, Andrew Bynum, and Al Horford. They've brought in Carmelo Anthony. The Pistons look about the same except for they've also brought in Danny Granger and Derrick Williams. They've still got Clyde Drexler, Mark Price, and Iggy. These match-ups will be really interesting to watch.

Red, Hot Bulls Face Struggling Pistons At The Palace

Entering the beginning of December, the Chicago Bulls are 14-3 and riding a 5 game winning streak. They hope to defend this streak and continue their good play tonight in Detroit. There was also a trade made which involved Joakim Noah being traded, and the Bulls aquired Roy Hibbert. "We just thought that Roy Hibbert might be what we needed, a more offensive-minded center who could also play defense. Joakim is a great player who just needs to work on his low post offense, and that's why we couldn't help but trade him. We want to make a playoff run, and we couldn't help but think Joakim Noah might slow our offense down," explained Coach Thibodeau.

Statistically, the Bulls are one of the hottest teams, and their record shows it. As a team, they average 107.2 points per game, 8th in the league. Derrick Rose averages 27.5 points per game, Evan Turner averages 18.8, Shabazz Muhammad averages 14.1, Hibbert averages 13.3, and Zeller averages 11.8 points per game. The Bulls have multiple games against Detroit and Milwaukee this month, but I don't know if I'll simulate through.

Joe Dumars is expected to miss 2-4 weeks still, but who knows if he'll get limited playing time before he fully recovers.

Chicago Leads Division Headed Into All-Star Weekend

The Chicago Bulls have turned things around greatly from last year. More trades have been made, but they have been for the better of the team, as always. "We hope fans don't become too attached some players, because one day they may be traded for what we see as players who better fit what we want here in Chicago," explained Coach Thibodeau.

The trades made by Chicago were: Tyrus Thomas FOR Jose Calderon and Jason Maxiell; Elijah Johnson and Shawn Marion FOR Chauncey Billups; and Kendrick Perkins FOR Jameer Nelson. The Big Three: Rose, Turner, and Dumars have all been key in the Bulls winning, with 24.8, 16.8, and 15 points per game, respectively. Zeller, Hibbery, and Muhammad have also been big on scoring and ball movement. "These guys have what it takes to win the NBA Championship this year," says Coach Thibodeau, "we just all need to work together and work off of one another's energy."

The Bulls lead the division with a 35-18 record, which also puts them 2nd in the conference headed into the All-Star game weekend.

2014-15 All-Star Weekend:

Cody Zeller and Shabazz Muhammad have made it into the Rising Stars game, and Derrick Rose has made it into the All-Star game. There are no Bulls in the three-point shootout or slam dunk competitions, sadly.

Results: The Stars defeat the Elites 104-103 despite Zeller's 32 for the Elites. Tim Hardaway of the Phoenix Suns wins the three-point shootout, Taylor Reeves of the Houston Rockets wins the slam dunk competition, and the East All-Stars defeat the West All-Stars 113-108 behind Magic Johnson's ball-hogging. The final game I will watch of the season will be at home against Detroit. The Bulls enter this game with a 50-27 record,, while Detroit is 33-45. The Pistons will struggle in this game without Clyde Drexler who has a torn hand ligament, and is out for 2-4 weeks.

Bulls Struggle, Lose in First Round To Orlando

The Chicago Bulls lost their first round series to Orlando 4-2. Damian Lillard and Brook Lopez led the way for the Magic. Derrick Rose did his usual duties along with Evan Turner, but Joe Dumars and company just were not up to par. "We needed playoff performances out of our players, and we didn't get them. That's why we have yet another first round exit."

On the bright side, the Bulls should be in pretty good condition in the draft as last year, they traded with Boston for their first round pick. With Boston missing the playoffs with a poor record, the Bulls should be in good position in the draft.

Off-Season

Playoffs end, and the Clippers win the NBA Championship with Larry Bird as your MVP for 2014-15 NBA Finals. The Bulls will enter the draft with the #7 pick, with which we use to draft another point guard. We draft Michael Solomon, who comes in at 59 overall, and will probably be traded or something.

Bulls Playoff Bound Once More, Win Division, Lose in 2nd Round of Playoffs

Derrick Rose has suffered a broken foot that will keep him out for 6-8 weeks. Going without their top scorer is not something the Bulls want to do, but it's what they have to do. They take on the #6 seeded Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Bulls go on to beat Cleveland 4-2 and move to the second round against #2 Boston. They would then lose 4-2 to the Celtics. "It's just another step forward, really," said Coach Thibodeau. "We made it that far without Rose, and it's just a shame we couldn't have gone further. We'll keep working, of course."

2015-16 Offseason

The Denver Nuggest win the NBA Championship with Kevin Durant as your MVP. The Bulls trade which gained them the 76er's first round pick has payed off as the Bulls will get the #1 pick in the draft. "This is great for us because we can either use the pick, or trade it for a better player or players."

The Bulls use the #1 pick in the draft to..... pick up a young PG in Erik Baker from Ohio State.

Bulls Big 4 Aims For NBA Title

The Chicago Bulls come into the 2016-17 season with 4 players with an overall rating of 90 or higher. The 4 players in order are: Derrick Rose 95, Cody Zeller 93, Evan Turner 91, Joe Dumars 90. "We definitely have the pieces needed to win a championship, we just need to put forth the effort and hope for no serious injuries." Chicago also has some other interesting additions to the team.

The Bulls lineup to begin the year will be:

PG- Derrick Rose
SG- Joe Dumars
SF- Evan Turner
PF- Cody Zeller
C- Roy Hibbert
6- Reggie Jackson
7- Tyler Zeller (yep, bringing the brothers together)
8- Patric Young
9- Eric Baker
10- Lee Lawrence
11- Jose Calderon
12- Thomas Teague (bench)
