A big matchup, the Bears were very glad to get the marrow win over their divisional rivals. They now only trail the Lions by 1/2 game, and their will be no wild card coming out of the NFC North this year.

However, it is very clear that Coach Smith has lost his patience with all of Brady Quinn's INT's. He let him know that he will be backup the rest of the year, barring injury. Josh Johnson will now be the starter and be given a opportunity to show what he can do.

Looks like your offense is firing on all cylinders despite the Quinn saga. I have never been able to do anything with him when I played as the Browns either. Hopefully Johnson can pick up the slack for you.

I take it Woodson didn't fit into this type of offense?

Yes, Quinn was a big disappointment. He learned the playbook much faster than Johnson, but couldn't seem to avoid the interceptions. I had higher hopes for him, but he also had trouble scrambling and avoiding the pass rush.

No, Woodson doesn't really fit the offense. if you've ever used him, he has a slow release, he doesn't move well in the pocket, and he also has a problem with INT's. I think it would have been better to get a SS.

I would play Quinn in some pre-season games and I know what you mean about scrambling, he is smart, but cant react to what is going on during the game. It was going to be interesting to see how he did in a different offense, guess he is no good in that one too.

I would actually try to get Woodson, but I also used a run heavy offense with a Field General QB, so maybe that is why he did better for me.

I hope Johnson does better than Quinn did, well...I never liked the Quinn pick irl so I guess that impacts the way I felt about him in the game.

Overall a good game, but interceptions continue to be a problem. I'm just going to mark it down to low QBA and Accuracy this season, although I will pull Johnson if he throws too many.

Contract negotiations:

It became clear that Kreutz and the Bears were simply going to be unable to reach a agreement. They decided to trade him to the Packers for a 2009 2nd and make Justice the starter.

Bears do sign ROLB Lance Briggs to a 6 year, 51.4 million, 22 million SB deal.

Bears sign P Mitch Berger to 3 year, 3.1 million deal, 500K SB.

Bears also sign C Steve Justice to 6 year, 4.2 million deal, 500K SB.

How is the health for Briggs and Harris? Every time I have considered the Bears, their low health concerns me.

I don't expect any problems with Briggs. 92% Health, although 3 body parts are at 88%, 92 Durability. In a past dynasty, by 2014 his Durability had only fallen to 88.

Harris is a different story, 89% health, 89 Durability, but 69% health in the R-Leg.As a rule, DT's break down over time. In a past dynasty, his health had fallen to 66%, 19% R-Leg, 37% L Leg in 2014. I expect he'll make it ok through the final years, but it might be a option to trade him in 2012 or 2013.

Priority one in the offseason will be to fire my Overall 4 trainer.

My QBs simply weren't prepared for how good the Vikings secondary would be. Still, we made the last second FG and took a one game division lead over the Lions heading into the rematch.Brian Urlacher recorded his 15th sack during the game.We have a week bye before the rematch.
