Re: Running Through The NFL- The Coaching Career of Tobias Grimm

Sorry for the delay again. I'm going to try to get back to this and my other one soon. However, I have a much better reason this time. Almost two weeks ago I suffered a partial subscapularis tear, and will have surgery to fix it. Rotating my arm, crossing my arm in front of my body, all contributes to the pain. I will have the surgery on Thursday and be in the hospital over the weekend. However, that will give me free reign next week to get back to work on this as I start my road to recovery.

Thanks! I should feel better with time. It's a fairly simple procedure, just will take some time to recover from. 8-12 weeks before I can start the strengthening rehab after the surgery. Thankfully I don't full access to both arms for this game as I can just set the controller down and use one hand to switch between pages and click buttons at least. Always have to look at the bright side ^_^

I've drafted Brink a few times, but since I never play him due to his abysmal starting overall, he never gets close to living up to his potential. There are a few players like that in 2008. The QB class in 2008 can range wildly. I've seen Ryan, Brohm, Flacco, Woodson and Johnson have success as a starter and Henne as a backup. That's 5 starting QBs in a draft. That's pretty crazy, as IRL only Ryan and Flacco did anything (Henne is still a backup).

You may have mentioned it before, but which draft class did you get? Usually if I get English I'll just reload a save.

Re: Running Through The NFL- The Coaching Career of Tobias Grimm

It's been three months since I last updated this, but I'm finally getting back to it. I've had complications with my rehab after my surgery, but things are finally looking bright again. My strength has returned, and I can get started once again. So expect updates to come quickly. I'm also playing NHL 14 right now, and might start a dynasty in that. Same with Madden 13 (since I don't have a copy of Madden 25), though that may pick up midway through my first season with Carolina.

As for what class I have, it's the Ozzie Jones path

On another note: Merry Christmas everyone! I hope all of you are having, or have had, a wonderful holiday

Re: Running Through The NFL- The Coaching Career of Tobias Grimm

WHO NEEDS OFFENSE?

ATLANTA OUTLASTS DIVISION RIVAL TO IMPROVE TO .500

ATLANTA, GEORGIA: In a defensive struggle, the Atlanta Falcons outlasted the Carolina Panthers to improve to .500 on the year. "Carolina gave us all we could handle, and our defense was up to the task of stopping them at the end of the game." Head coach Tobias Grimm was quoted as saying after the game.

Matt Prater (3-4 on field goal attempts) provided most of the offense for Arizona, including nailing a 53-yard field goal for the first points of the game. "It feels good helping this team anyway I can. It's even better when you know that you have basically led the team to that point."

Matt Ryan's stat line won't be pretty as he only completed half his passes, but he was the beneficiary of several dropped passes throughout the game, including a couple in the endzone that should have been touchdowns. Rookie tightend Martellus Bennett and veteran reciever Javon Walker both dropped sure touchdowns when they were wide open. "I should have had that pass. I broke free of my guy, and Matt placed the ball exactly where it needed to be. I just didn't haul it in. That's on me."

Moore, playing for the injured Jake Delhomme, was decent on the day, but threw a costly interception late in the fourth quarter deep in Atlanta territory as Carolina was driving for the go-ahead touchdown. "I didn't see Boley there. I saw Steve (Smith) cut to the middle and get separation, and tried to get him the ball. As soon as I released it, I saw Boley break and realized my mistake. That cost us the game."

It wasn't a pretty game, but Atlanta made the most of their drives, converting the majority of them into points while their defense stifled the Panthers offense.

Next week the 2-2 Falcons travel to Green Bay to take on the 1-3 Packers, while the Panthers look to bounce back from two straight losses as they take on the 2-2 Chiefs.

Re: Running Through The NFL- The Coaching Career of Tobias Grimm

I am slowly getting back into the thick of this career. I've been sticking with playing NHL lately, and absolutely loving it, so that's derailed my intentions for this. However, it is not dead. I will keep it up.

With that in mind, be on the lookout for my hockey dynasty as well. I'm starting one up soon, though I'm not sure who I'm playing as. I'm leaning more towards my hometown Predators, but also thinking of the Rangers. Either way, keep an eye out for it.
