I can't believe you gave a incentive to a kicker.

Re: Running Through The NFL- The Coaching Career of Tobias Grimm

Normally, I wouldn't give a kicker an incentive. But it's too easy to just low-ball players all the time and get them to accept the cheapest contract, so I'm forcing myself to "give in" to some of their demands and increase my contract offer as they decrease theirs. Unfortunately, that led to Prater getting an incentive.
All in all, I'm liking the way this has been working out so far. I'm actually enjoying it, when I get around to playing (which hasn't been often with work and all these other amazing games that have come out and are still coming out).
I'm currently playing a game for my Seahawks franchise right now, and will be playing the Bears game for my Falcons sometime soon as well

Glad you decided to keep to some realism with your contracts... Good luck next game, back to .500 I hope! Tough break with the Dayne fumble, I don't think I've ever had him cough it up in multiple franchises... c'est la vie... Abraham had a good first game back, that's promising at least.

Yeah, I was shocked by that fumble. And those turnovers in general. I wasn't expecting them, and it really affected the game. Still, a hell of a game by Matt Ryan and Roddy White, which excited me. After seeing Abraham's performance, I am excited for my defensive front, especially once Buddy Jackson is healthy again.

I am definitely trying to keep my contracts realistic. In all honesty, I kind of want to get into cap trouble

Re: Running Through The NFL- The Coaching Career of Tobias Grimm

INJURIES, DROPPED PASSES DOOM FALCONS

BEARS ROLL OVER FALCONS AS MISCUES STAY THE HOT HAND OF WHITE

ATLANTA, GA: The Chicago Bears looked to be the better team this week as they rolled over the Falcons defense on the way to their first win of the season. "No one is going to enjoy practice this week. The receivers couldn't hold on to the ball, the offensive line couldn't open holes, the defenders didn't even make any movements towards the ball carrier until he was five yards down the field. This was a sh** game. We deserved to get our ***es handed to us."

Grimm was livid after the game, and rightfully so. Matt Ryan ended the game completing a mere forty-one percent of his passes, and throwing three interceptions. None of the interceptions could be considered his fault, however, as all three hit his receivers right in the hands. They couldn't corral the ball and let it bounce right into the defenders hands without a fight.

John Abraham, Trey Lewis, Javon Walker, and Nick Hayden all had to leave the game with injuries, adding more names to an ever-growing list for the Falcons.

Falcon receivers dropped a total of thirteen passes on the night, including two in the end zone, one of which was picked off. Add those into the equation as completions, and Ryan goes 31 of 41 for almost four hundred yards, three touchdowns and only one interception. Instead, the team will head into the game in two weeks against Philadelphia with a lot to think about, and hopefully manage to stem this losing streak.

*I am absolutely disgusted by this game. THIRTEEN!?!?!? dropped passes!?!?!? Come on, that's just obnoxious. And even more injuries! This is going to be a pain of a season. I'm half tempted to just sim the rest of the season so I can get rid of this trainer and get someone better. But...I'm going to give it at least one more game. I mean, this is what I wanted: a challenge. Unlike with my Titans franchise, I am actually losing games. I might even struggle to reach .500 on the season.

Speaking of the injuries, just look at the Falcons injury report after the loss to Chicago. This is a devastating list. But, with two weeks before our next game, hopefully at least some of them can come back and be ready for our game against the Eagles. We need them if we want to have a chance at winning.

Re: Running Through The NFL- The Coaching Career of Tobias Grimm

BREAKING NEWS

Rumors have been flying around the Falcons facility after the loss to Chicago. With a 2-4 record to start the season, owner hhhhh and general manager Don Ross sat down with Grimm and discussed the current depth chart. The following changes were suggested, but not all were accepted:

Sit WR Harry Douglas, start WR Joe Horn. stayed the same. Douglas has 9 catches for 116 yards and 0 touchdowns, while Horn hasn't caught a single pass as the number four receiver.

Sit OLB David Vobora, start OLB Ian Gold. chart stayed the same, but Gold should get more looks. Vobora has 23 tackles, 5 tackles for a loss and 1 sack, while gold has only 5 tackles

Sit CB Chris Houston, start CB Pat Lee. Lee will get the start against Philadelphia. Houston has 15 tackles and 3 tackles for a loss, but has allowed 53% of completions his way. Lee has 9 tackles on the season but has not allowed a pass to be completed in his limited playing time.

Sit SS Jamar Adams, start SS Lawyer Milloy. Milloy will start. Milloy has been more of a ballhawk in his limited playing time, racking up 15 tackles compared to Adams 11, and has broken up more passes and allowed less completions.

The team also announced the signing of veteran receiver David Givens. "After seeing all the dropped passes last week, we knew we needed to make a change. Givens has been around for a while and been a solid option wherever he's been. While not flashy, Givens may struggle slightly with running routes and getting free off the snap. However, he can snatch the ball with the best of them, and isn't afraid to go into the middle of the field to make the catch. He should be a good addition to the team."

Game Notes
The Falcons get some good news before the game as a lot of players are returning from injury. The big names coming back are running back Michael Turner and cornerback Randall Gay, both of which are cornerstones on this team. Abraham and Jackson could be back in time for the game, but both may be held out for precautionary reasons.

The Eagles are coming off a 41-13 drubbing of the 49ers in their last game, but will be without starting quarterback Donovan McNabb. Second-year pro Kevin Kolb is no slouch, and will be leaning on Westbrook and an opportunistic defense that forces turnovers to pull out the win again.

Atlanta is looking to get back on track, but will struggle to do so against a strong Eagles secondary that houses Sheppard, Brown and Dawkins. Ryan will need to lean on the running game, which should get a boost with the return of Michael Turner. If Ryan and White can get back to the form they showed together three weeks ago against Green Bay, they could pull off the upset over Philadelphia, but don't hold your breath.

Prediction: Atlanta 17, Philadelphia 31
