We're less than a month (four weeks to be exact) away from first pitch, so it's time for the ping to return. If you're unaware to how this works, we'll have weekly threads where I'll post D1Baseball's Top 25 as well as their results from last week and what they have on the schedule this week. Later on in the season, there will be postseason projections posted in this thread by yours truly.
If you're new to college baseball, welcome, you will quickly see that it's as fun, if not more than the MLB and much more interesting. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I'm well versed on college baseball and so is Tovarich, TripleCrown, and TracerBullet, feel free to ask any questions.

I had a few questions, why isn't Oklahoma getting any love with the two really good pitchers they have in Elliott and Hansen, is it because of the loss of Hermelyn and Carpenter on offense?
Last year I noticed Vanderbilt would have a pitcher start games at DH that he was not pitching in then he would be subbed out, what is the reasoning of doing that?
Looking forward to seeing Tech's contribution, and seeing LSU's dogpile in Omaha.

Because it's Vanderbilt, and we never question whatever it is Vanderbilt thinks they're doing.

Oklahoma will be fine, they play in the Big 12 and will have plenty of opportunities to make an impression
In regards to Oklahoma, backup quarterback Cody Thomas has quit the football team to focus completely on baseball, with Coach Stoops leaving the door open to return to the football team next fall if Thomas chooses.
Looks like he was a touted prospect out of high school that was drafted in the 30th round by the Yankees. Based on what I'm reading, he can pitch (which is where people believed he would've been drafted hire if he went as a pitcher).
In 2013, he appeared in 14 games and hit .083 (1-for-12).
I will be at Clay Gould Ballpark for the Arlington tournament on Opening Day. Doubleheader baseball for the price of one ticket, plus my alma mater vs. #8 Oklahoma State, should be good...
