Re: 2017 Regular Season Discussion

Was at Louisville vs Omaha game today. Cards won 10-0. I nearly froze as it was cold out there this afternoon.

Re: 2017 Regular Season Discussion

Crazy weekend in Houston for the Aggies.

Texas A&M dominated Texas Tech 9-0 on 15 hits.
Leading TCU 7-1, they lost 11-10 in 15 innings.
Lost to Baylor on a walkoff Grand Slam.

Other notes:

Texas Tech beat LSU on a walkoff off the pitcher's foot.
Baylor is sitting at 10-1, their best start in school history.
Radford righty Danny Hrbrek tossed the 4th no-hitter of the season.

Re: 2017 Regular Season Discussion

Miami is 2nd to last in batting average for all D1 programs. The 4-8 record is the worst start in like 63 years. Bleh.

Re: 2017 Regular Season Discussion

Some recent happenings.

This past Friday in the LSU-Georgia series, Georgia was winning 4-0 at the end of the 1st, and when the dust settled LSU won 22-9 (ended up sweeping).

Texas Tech reached #3, their highest ranking in anything since football reached #2 in 2008.

They reached that ranking following a 3-game sweep of the Longhorns in Austin. It was the first time ever that Tech swept Texas in baseball, and for the past 5 years the road team has won the series.

Yesterday and today, Texas Tech played UNLV and swept. Not too spectacular but Greg Maddux's son was on the mound for the Rebs today. Texas Tech won on a walk-off walk in the 10th inning that, thanks to my wonderful heckling, I'd like to thank I played a small part in the victory.

Top 25 this week (with a new #1)

Spoiler

Missouri, after losing the season opener to Eastern Michigan 6-2, hasn't lost since. A 19-game winning streak, sitting at 19-1.

We played a game, and we didn't win. I'm confused.
