Re: 2024-25 College Hoops Discussion

With the loss of Pryor and Johnson for the rest of the season, I think its going to be a long winter for Louisville.

Re: 2024-25 College Hoops Discussion

#2 Auburn travels to #9 Duke tonight.

I don't love the matchup for us. I thought we matched up very well against all three teams we played in Maui but this one is a bit trickier due to the hostile environment, Duke's size, and experience at guard.

I almost think there's going to be a period of feeling out the game and trying to minimize damage because Duke is young but also very tall and Broome hasn't been his best against those guys at or above 7' tall.

I would love to see Broome go off but the offense may go as the guards go and that's an area where we still have a lot of room for improvement.

It's a tough matchup but a testament to the quality of program Auburn has become over the last several years that we get Duke at home. Little kid me never would have thought that possible..

Didn't expect Creighton to beat Kansas. The whistle was trash @Duke against Auburn. But what else is new. Duke probably still deserved to win. Kept hitting shot after shot down the stretch.

And Carolina decided that defense was optional last night against Bama and looked incredibly mid.

Re: 2024-25 College Hoops Discussion

Michigan held off a similar comeback against Iowa, couple 1 loss teams cuttin' it up. Hair splitting review at the end, got upheld. It's weird remembering Iowa basketball is totally different than Iowa football, they go fast and they score

but anyway, I just wanted to give a shout to the graphic for Michigan's frontcourt of #50 and #1 and it said "Area 50-1" it made me chuckle, I'm a dork

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Re: 2024-25 College Hoops Discussion

Unfortunately for the Cats, Kerr Kriisa is out indefinitely, having suffered a foot injury that will require surgery. Jaxson Robinson did well down the stretch running the point against Gonzaga, but we are absolutely thin at PG. Hopefully, Lamont Butler will be back for our next game; otherwise, Robinson and freshman Travis Perry will be the options at PG.

Meanwhile, the Week 6 AP poll is out. The national champion has emerged from the top 12 since the 2003-04 season.

Tennessee
Auburn
Iowa State
Duke
Kentucky (why are we behind 2-loss Duke? If only there were a way to determine who is better)
Marquette
Alabama
Gonzaga
Florida
Kansas
Purdue
Oregon
