I'm almost embarrased to be a UK fan right now. VMI did lead the NCAA in PPG the last 2 years, and I can see why, they jack 3's and play no defense, almost like the GS Warriors. Most UK fans overrate their team to absurd levels every year. My friend was making a big deal that we weren't ranked in the pre season Top 25 and Florida was.. We're not ranked because we're not very good. We aren't rotating well on defense and you just can't afford to not do that on a team that can shoot as good as VMI does. Careless basketball on Offense too, turnover after turnover, bad pass after bad pass.

Lucked into? Gillispie is one of the best coaches in the NCAA. He basically molded Acie Law from a decent player into an all american. Gillispie brought Deron Williams to Illinois too. He's got an eye for talent that alot of coaches don't have. This game has nothing to do with Gillispie's coaching. It's all on UK's bad defensive rotation and passing. Not to mention VMI hitting EVERYTHING, contested or not.

I also forgot to mention some of the ridiculous calls that are getting called in this game. I've seen 3 seperate over the back calls where the player who got called for the foul was jumping backwards away from boxing out man.

I was the one who said UK should be going after Gillespie instead of Donovan.

But isn't bad defensive rotations the responsibility of the coach teaching them? I also find it kind of hard to believe UK is the victim of multiple bad calls @ Rupp.

90 to 86 VMI.

I've said it all along, give Gillispie time to get rid of Tubby's recruits and then pass judgement on the team. Some of the people that UK has have no business of ever wearing the white and blue, like Jared Carter.
