Pretty interesting read on a potential Nike schools tournament in the 2017-18 season to honor Phil Knight.

I think it's a natural progression like scheduling games on aircraft carriers. What is Adidas best lineup?

ACC: NC State
Big East: Cincinnati, Louisville, Notre Dame, SMU( next year)
Big Ten: Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin
Big 12: Kansas, Baylor
Pac 12: UCLA
SEC: Tennessee, Texas A&M, Mississippi State

Other: St.Mary's, UMASS.

I have 16 teams up there of Adidas school ( according to Wikipedia).

I think there is 2 ways for it to work:

1. Create 4 different "tournaments" across the nation with 4 teams in them because of how many the Big East, Big Ten and SEC have.

2. Go an 8 team tournament with 1 team from the Big 6 conferences with 2 teams outside of the Big 6 conferences.

For Example: NC State, UCLA, Kansas, Louisville, Indiana, Tennessee, St. Mary's and UMASS.

No. 1 Indiana, No. 2 Louisville, No. 3 Kentucky, No. 4 Kansas, No. 5 Michigan

What is this the mid 80's????
Just waiting for Steve Alford, Pervis Ellison, Sam Bowie, Danny Manning and Gary Grant to suit up and run on the court.

NCAA considering moving Final Four back to arenas instead of domes.

Quote:
The NCAA and the men's basketball selection committee have discussed the possibility of moving the Final Four out of a dome and into an arena in a major metropolitan city.

The Final Four, booked through 2016, hasn't been played in an arena since 1996.

The chances of that changing remain a longshot, but it was brought up at the selection committee's summer meeting and again last week at the National Association of Basketball Coaches meeting by new NCAA executive vice president for championships Mark Lewis.

Lewis told ESPN.com on Thursday that when he was hired earlier this year, he took out a United States map and saw that both coasts are largely left off from hosting the Final Four.
