Wow if they gave themselves this ban I am guessing the NCAA is going to add even more.

I'm sick to my stomach over this, for two 5th year kids like Lee and Lewis to get screwed out of ever getting to the NCAA tournament.

For those who care about facts, Rick Pitino passed a lie detector test in terms of him knowing about the situation.

I would pump the breaks on that being a fact for a bit. That's true only according to one of Dickie V's sources.

And then regardless, there's this:

Quote:
NCAA Division I Bylaw 11.1.1.1 states that an institution’s head coach is presumed to be responsible for the actions of all institutional staff members who report, directly or indirectly, to the head coach. A head coach shall promote an atmosphere of compliance within his or her program and shall monitor the activities of all institutional staff members involved with the program who report, directly or indirectly, to the coach.

I actually heard it from a different source, but maybe they were re-stating what was claimed by one of Dick Vitale's sources.

I understand the rule. I know about it.

Just stating what was said, that is all.

I have no stake in this, and I don't harbor any ill-will towards Louisville or Pitino, but passing a polygraph test - even if that story is true - means nothing. They shouldn't even call it a "lie detector" - the accuracy behind its ability to measure 'truth' vs 'lie' is, at the very best, questionable...

But had he failed it, it would've been taken as 100% fool proof

Not by anyone familiar with polygraphs.

Although the larger question here is, why in the world did he submit to a polygraph in the first place? If that story is true, it makes very little sense...he's not, as far as I know, under investigation by any law enforcement agency, and agreeing to take a test like that outside the bounds of an actual criminal investigation or prosecution seems odd to me.
