November Games Discussion Thread

So the college basketball season is upon us. While there are a number of things that frustrates me about the sport, it's still basketball at the end of the day.

Michigan State seems to be the consensus favorite but Tom Izzo already has guys hurt possibly from running guys into the ground ( it's an annual tradition for him to have his roster hurt). There isn't a consensus Zion this year but Memphis has a ton of highly touted freshmen.

This is the last year for UConn illustrious run in the AAC so a lot of AAC historians will get nostalgic. The fans at Tulsa will miss the automatic win that they got every time they hosted UConn. However, everyone else will be happy to see UConn in a conference that makes more geographic and tradition sense and for a realignment decision that wasn't based off of college football.

We have some rule changes this year:
1. The 3 pt line has become FIBA distance
2. Shot clock will reset to 20 on offensive rebounds
3. The integrity of gambling spreads will allow for replay challenges at the end of replay games to ensure spread integrity.

Who do I want to watch this year: Myles Powell and Markus Howard

Sleeper Team: Ohio State

Who will make the Final Four in Atlanta: Florida, Kentucky, Maryland and Michigan State

Who will cut the nets down: Florida over Michigan State

Will this age well? Not a chance

So you can skip through my monologue above:

We have 3 games of note tonight:

Champions Classic at MSG: 7 pm ET Kansas Duke and 930 Michigan State vs Kentucky

9 pm ET: Wisconsin vs St Marys in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

We also have some CONFERENCE PLAY already with the ACC going to opening week matchups given the 20 game conference schedule and Nevada vs Utah

Re: November Games Discussion Thread

Kansas should want blood after last year's game.

But these are different teams.

So happy college basketball it's starting!

LOL...I don't get all the Florida love. I hope you're right, but they have all the makings of a disappointment. We'll see...glad it's here though!

I’m not picking Michigan State so I looked at a Sportsbook and picked a team with odds that I like ( 17 to 1)

Can’t wait for our Miami fan to complain that they’re already in last place in the ACC on opening night haha.
