I really like them. Better than the National Championship backfield? Im not sure... This current group is still too young to tell imo. They do have a crazy ceiling as a unit and are very fun to watch though.

Well, I'm not saying they're better, or anything, but there's something about this group that makes me enjoy watching them more, particularly Dre and Byndom.

But yeah, no doubt that championship group was the best.

My favorite is still Huff, Ross, Griffith, and of course my favorite Longhorn DB ever...Michael Griffin. All 4 still on NFL rosters!

...other Longhorn favorites are Quentin Jammer ( I mean one of the best DB names ever), Bryant Westbrook, Chris Carter, Tre Thomas, and Dakarai Pearson.

For sure. As long as Ash doesn't throw dumb picks, this team is potent. If Brown, Bergeron, and Gray can stay healthy, there's hope that the defense can hold opposing offenses down enough to where the run game can actually keep Texas in contention.
