I hope Michigan comes out winning against Bama, but the chances are very slim...BUT anything can happen!!!!

Alabama and Michigan both have question marks on defense. I see it being high scoring.

You think the defenses will be ahead of the offenses in game one? Or you think the gameplans will be conservative? Or maybe expecting Bama's offense to be weak & their D to be strong?

Bama is essentially at a "reload" level as a program, especially on defense. Will they have a dropoff from last year's defense? Sure, since last year's defense was one of the best of all-time. But they're stil replacing stars with stars.

Michigan's offense, on the other hand, is replacing two OL, one of which was the best center in America last year, has no proven TE, an average at best WR corp, a QB who struggled TERRIBLY throwing the ball against stout defenses last year (and was bottled up in running against MSU, Iowa, and VaTech), and might be without their 1000 yard tailback.

This is an awful, awful matchup for Michigan. Terrible piece of scheduling by Brandon. This game is well above our paygrade as a program right now.

Re: 2012 Michigan Football: Team 133

I think it'll resemble one of the Rose Bowls against USC from the previous decade. Michigan will hang tough for a quarter, maybe two, but Alabama will wear them down and have it in cruise control by the 4th quarter. 28-10, 28-14 type of game. This is simply not the type of game Michigan is ready to play at this point. No elite playmakers on the outside on offense, too many questions in the trenches on defense. Alabama will be able to load up the box and stop Denard and whoever is at RB, and Roundtree/Gallon/whoever else at WR isn't good enough to beat their corners one on one. That will cause the offense to sputter, which will put more strain on the defense, which will only be able to hold up for so long against Alabama's OL and running attack.

Not to mention a questionable defensive line I think this game would be a lot different if this was last years team facing this years Alabama
